5, 15, and E for the OC and Creator ask πββοΈ
Hmmm these are some interesting ones! For the creator ask I answered that one here. Though your ask came in before I did so, you didn't miss anything. π
Questions are from this list. Some questions may have multiple answers so if I get repeats I will try and give more answers.
5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?
This is a tough answer, bear with me.
This truly depends on what it is she's trusting someone with. She is extremely perceptive and intuitive so she trusts herself more than anyone else and can often discern if boundaries or mistrust are warranted.
She spent a good portion of her life covertly moving through Lolthites to lure potential defectors. Quite the risky endeavor in extending trust.
That said, I do think she carries a level of mistrust by default just due to being drow, both with her own kin and other races. It actually takes effort for her to extend trust, to anyone. The best way I can think to describe it is that she has "professional" trust she extends to nearly everyone. I think of her priestess and knight phases like a sort of therapist in ways. There's a clinical nature to that trust. On a personal level, while she is very warm and friendly she is also manipulative and deceptive. I think when your mind is built the way hers is true trust doesn't come easily. On that personal level though, once trust earned it's hard to break and it's one of the more profound pains for her if you do break it because she doesn't hand it over easily at all. I hope that answers that well enough.
15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?
Iggy is fairly careful with her words but generally her mind is moving at a rapid rate. She is quick witted and sharp. I'd say that most of the time what she says is thought of on the spot without the need to rehearse. She needs to be able to think on her feet to do what she does for a large part of her life.
Hi~ For the Uncommon Questions π€π€π€
16, 21 E, H
Oh thank you for the questions dear! They are quite the questions for Iggy and can depends on which era of her life we're talking about. Questions are from this list. Some questions may have multiple answers so if I get repeats I will try and give more answers.
OC Questions
16. What makes their stomach turn?
I'm choosing this particular answer for you as Ellith also shares long flowing locks. I've had a bit of my own personal HCs about how Eilistraeens drow may have a point of pride of their hair. One of Eilistraee's own epithets being "Lady Silverhair" gave the the idea that Silverhair Knights might push this to a point of their hair being sacred. I don't think it'd be any sort of requirement per se, but certainly something many of the knights may adhere to in an effort to represent the avatar of their goddess. Ingoria definitely falls under one of those that considers it sacred. The idea of something happening to her hair ties her stomach into knots. One might note that there is a change to her hair between knight and warlock, more specifically that as a warlock she has an undercut. Somewhat recently I decided on a whim to a similar prompt that this was because in her anger and grief at feeling abandoned by Eilistraee in a moment of tragedy that befell her community of worship, she began to cut it off but was unable to go through with it. This resulted in her cleaning up what was done to make it more presentable.
21. Why do they get up in the morning?
This changes over the course of the last ~100+ years in her path from Silverhair Knight to Warlock, obviously. As a Knight it is the drive to help realize the will of her goddess and free her kin from Lolth's cruel web and set them on a path of redemption, both individually and the entire drow race. It is an effort that Ingoria dedicates her life to, mind, body, and soul. It is an extremely heavy burden and it does take its toll. As a Warlock...her answer would be similar, but one with a twisted sense of empathy. That her reasons for going on are to save the drow...but from all gods. Redemption is futile, the gods were never going to grant it. For most of her 200 year life she dedicated effort in saving and redeeming her kin, only to feel like none of it ever mattered. There may be some that free themselves in a sense, but even those that are free are haunted by the generational trauma of what it means to be drow. None are truly free. Not to mention how readily their existence is in danger on the surface. Her pact with Dendar is a result of this twisted sense of empathy. She bound herself to an evil primordial set on ending the world. A primordial as angry with the gods as she is. Until the nautiloid, the tadpole, and a flying piece of debris make her forget her pact and why she made it in the first place...
Creator Questions
E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?
Iggy carries a lot of my own personal traits so I'd say yes. I think we would butt heads from time to time as we're both pretty stubborn...but overall yeah I think we'd get along.
H) What trait do you admire most?
It's incredibly cliche but her heart and the way she loves people. It is deep and profound. She only wishes she could make others see themselves and their potential as she does.
