I had the pleasure of doing this cover for the wonderful Lizzie! I had fun with all the leaves~
when inking, how do you decide which lines should have that dotted effect instead of being continuous?
I think the best way I can describe it is: That I'll always use a solid line to separate sections, but within a section I'll break lines to help with the shading. Like the front of the shirt and the sleeve will be separated by a solid line, but within those pieces there are folds and creases that will be done with broken lines. Here are some quick screenshots to hopefully help illustrate this.
