Something I noticed from GOTG Vol.1 ; At the very beginning of the film, little Peter is talking to his mother about getting into a fight with some other kids because they squashed a frog. He’s always been empathetic towards animals, I like how that characteristic plays into Vol.3’s themes of animal cruelty. It’s a brief detail, but it adds a layer to Peter’s character and the type of hero he is, and apart of what makes his friendship with Rocket so great.

Thorquill’s ship dynamic got updated from rivals-to-lovers to single-dads-with-dead-wives.

Thanos murdered Gamora the same way Ego murdered Meredith (Quill’s mother). They had an obsession with their goals and chose them over people they were supposed to love. That clearly traumatised Quill when he had to repeat losing someone close to him like that again and people overlook that a lot.

I honestly hope GOTG3 doesn’t become a focus on Quill trying to win Gamora back, or Gamora falling in love with Peter. It took them two movies to develop a relationship, it kind of defeats the purpose if they try to do it all in one. I’d want it to show loss and how that affected the GOTG. Especially with Peter and Rocket.
