Heeeeeey, so I just found your blog and I'm liking it so far! I like the way you write rocket and since you said request are open and you wanted to write more about MCU rocket here is what I have been thinking. Idk if you know the basics of Steven universe but I can't help but think about his s/o being a pearl or a amethyst (you can pick because both of their stories are exiting) but also like half human in a way only that unlike Steven they can poof and all that stuff. I just like this idea because even though this can be traumatizing for him I can't help but think of him seeing his gf/bf get stabbed and they like "oh damn" and they poof and he obviously goes into a rage and does whatever they were doing and when they escape he's like crying holding their gem and then bro just sees her come back and she's like "I tried my best to fix everything up, how do I look?"
Also, I see the reader being an amethyst who obviously is seen as defective for being half human. I also just like the idea of the reader being an amethyst because she shapeshift a lot and I can't help thinking of her just turning into an ACTUAL racoon of INTO rocket to tease him not knowing their probably giving him an existential crisis 😭

Rocket having a s/o who has a story similar to Amethyst, in the sense that they hide their pain behind jokes and laughs. I think Rocket would cave under them so easily because he sees /right/ through it. He knows what it's like to hide behind a thin veil of anger or in their case laughter. They would just laugh the pain away, hoping that it would be easier to manage when the pain comes around again. Rocket would see right through that avoidant shit and part of him would want to just cradle them and make the pain go away forever. Another part of him would want to murder whoever caused them to feel less than just because they are half human.
Seeing his s/o go poof without knowing the complete context would absolutely send him into a spiral of pure rage, but when they emerge from their crystal gem while he's caressing them so gently with tears streaming down his face.... he would just /stare/ in shock, in awe, and in full relief. His sad tears would turn into happy ones while he watches them twirl and show him their new state of being. He'd grab their hand to slow them down and ask 'what the fuck happened?'
After they explain everything and tell him that they are okay, he would just hug them close and for /a while/
Then they show him one more trick by turning into a friking raccoon and he thinks that he gets a nose bleed before he has to sit down to keep from passing out x) he would stare again, this time for much longer, and then he's just... running his hands all over them, poking them, and asking how and if this is fucking /real/ before you know,, devouring them. They wanna tease him and he can bet their raccoon ass that he will tease them back!

Second, this is a custom artwork of my name drawn by a DisneyWorld park artist that I received as a gift!! Back when I was still posting on Twitter, a DW cast member noticed my Rocket art, had this commissioned, and sent me this piece in a gift package!! Truly one of the coolest and kindest things to ever happen to me!❤️🫂 extremely magical and unexpected very very cool
And lastly, I got this beautiful custom Rocket airbrush shirt from the fair yesterday!!! His sweet little faceeeee I’m so happy with how it turned out, the artist did such an amazing job!!
