I made a spouse for him named "Schmelly". I noticed the thumbnail was wrong, but I plodded ahead anyway.
When I entered the neighborhood, they are floating above the ocean. So, it's not just the thumbnail. I should have been prompted to buy a lot at this point, not unhomed in space!

Good morning (from Australia), just an update for everyone that Sims2Artists is now rehosted and accessible once again. The site is being cleaned up and will likely go down again for a major update later down the track, but first priority it GOS.
As to GOS itself, all files have been secured and are in good hands. Still "running into many interesting and varied errors" while trying to update 😱🙈 but the main news is that things are moving.
Just a reminder I have pretty much nothing to do with any of this, I'm just the messenger but I'll certainly post as many updates as I can to keep everyone in the loop 😊

let's talk paralives foundations...
so, as we know there is no "foundation" tool in paralives. but, that doesn't mean you can't build them anyways with their almost limitless build mode!
there are 2 popular ways of making foundation as of now, one is with an entire wall height, & the other is using the platforming tool.
full wall foundations are what they sound like, a full wall underneath your house.
pros: easy, fast, doesn't glitch out that much. cons: the bottom floor of your house is completely empty, much like sims 2. paralives often defaults to loading your house on the bottom floor, which will greet you with an empty box.

in my opinion, platform foundations are much easier to build, cost efficient, & look better in live mode.
pros: now you can have your house viewed at the bottom floor without having to look at an empty area. cons: platforms seem a little glitchy right now, if you "undo" or go down a level, it may glitch the floor out completely.

how you decide to build foundations is completely up to you! but, if you're going for a "split level" or multiple different heights build, i recommend platforms!
i got tired of looking at half of my house when the floors were down, so i rebuilt it using platforms!
now, i can see my entire house on the bottom floor without having to flip through different floor levels!

Pixel Squeezle had her first fire. She had just purchased an expensive oven (1700 Paradimes). Afterward, she didn't have the dimes to replace it. So it's back to microwave-only cooking! Arrgh!
Two firemen came after she called the Fire department. I don't know if these are the official fire uniforms or stand-in outfits because it's early access. What do you think?

After making some ho-hum Cooking Level 2 Peanut Butter Toast, Squeezle searched online for Cooking Recipes.
After an ingame hour, her computer search termed up a Cooking Level 2 Recipe for making a single hot dog in the microwave. 😹
There's got to be a better way to level up cooking skill. . .
Also, I changed her skin colour to a more Plant-ish Green 💚
