Gummi's Sims 2 Stuff

Since Tumblr is now where I share my stuff when I do share, I suppose there will come a time when scrolling through would get tedious for you, the reader, and Origami suggested I make a directory post to make it easier for people to find what they may want. Great idea, so here we are :)

I do not take requests, sorry :) I am however usually happy to give advice on how to make something yourself, when you are actually willing to put in the work and learn. If you aren't interested in learning to make what you want yourself, my advice is to use publicly available forums to post your ideas (Hacks & CC thread on MTS, ideas channel on SimsCrafters discord etc), and if you are lucky a modder will see it, like it and make it.

Apparently they are collection only, though they were certainly not intended to be 😅 Thank you for pointing that out to me, I have fixed it. Updated files have them in surface/misc, and I included a modified version of SilentLucidity's purple collection file with the half step OMSPs added to it. Grab them from the link in the original post.

If you are ever unsure where something is, or a creator does a dumb like I did here, I highly recommend @picknmixsims' program Object Relocator. It is very easy to use, and thanks to the most recent update, can now be run when the game is open as long as you don't try to view files in your actual downloads. Put a copy of the files elsewhere and the program can tell you where they are in catalog, and also easily fix items in batch if you want to move them elsewhere. It can also fix quarter tile placement, make things collection only, change prices etc. Super handy!

Yes you are correct I make my restaurants more expensive via a mod, and I also add custom food varieties like caviar tartlets via the same method. Restaurant podiums pull their food options and prices from BCON's and Fway was kind enough to provide a template that adds some additional missing maxis foods, and also contains a tutorial.

You'll find the template and a PDF tutorial on how to add more in the download of "Mod Your Restaurant Podium".

It is super easy, if all you want to do is tweak prices of maxis food then Fway's file is clearly labelled and it's just a matter of tweaking numbers in a list :) Adding custom foods is also very easy, you just need to stay organized and do a bunch of copy-pasting.

@teaaddictyt informed me the mod conflicts with one of hers called Close the Kitchen, so I have added a compatible version for those of you that use it that. It needs to load after Tea's mod.

We've all been there. Our sim is out having a lovely time with some friends, perhaps family, or a whole frat worth of loose acquaintances. They are hungry, they want to eat.

And somehow by the end your Sim has to foot the bill for the whole affair. Hardly seems fair, does it? I mean how often do you go around paying for everyone when you eat out? Nah. I am tired of my poor newcomers in town trying to make friends only to end up with a 8 people restaurant bill to cover on their meager salary. Clearly it is not my fault for making food more expensive resulting in 800+ bills (😇) but the lack of manners in sim-restaurants not providing a means to split the cost 😤 No more!

With this mod, the restaurant podium (*) will now give you the option of splitting the bill. Can be used on dates as well as outings, though it only shows up if there are non-household members taking part in the meal. If there are any such, the podium will give you the option to only pay a fair share of the total bill, corresponding to the % your sims make up out of the total. In the example above, only one sim out of 4 was part of the household, so the sim is given the option to pay 25% of the bill. If two sims had been household members, it would have been 50%, and so on. (**)

(*) Will not apply to custom podiums without a tweak, more info under the cut. (**) Only active household pays, the remainder of the bill is negated entirely. If you play a strictly regulated economy, your restaurant will earn less when you use this option. To track exactly what you ate, or force payment from multiple source is both overly complicated and more conflict-prone, and I do not personally think it is worth the effort here. If you run OFB restaurants, just don't use the option in those.

Edits: TTABs of the maxis podiums, action strings and pay bill action/guardian interactions in the semi-global, and adds one custom bhav to the semi-global.

Some strands were yeeted because barely noticeable, I don't think miniscule bitty pieces are worth an additional 2k poly :3 As you can see in the picture, recolors may look a tiny bit different on the sides due to one of these strands being yeeted. New alpha included for recolorists.

Hello I am deliriously tired and chronically ill-ing at top capacity. Have some painting add ons because why not 😂 I needed small artworks to go on the table at my pride stall by the market, so I made some. Tiny versions of Artig, and a couple of small Bella's without any frame using the artig side/back to make it a free canvas. And then Epi mentioned wishing for alien surf frame add on to match their Artig frame add ons, so I made those and here we are.

Costs range from 49 to 110 simoleons. They are in deco/wall because where else would they be. Magnifying glasses to see the tiny are sold separately.

I do a lot of mini tweaks/fixes of CC for my own use, and sometimes I think they are possibly useful to someone else. Like today, when I fixed a couple of things on Veranka's lovely rack from her deliciously indulgent bakery set.

The slots are not quite aligned with the shelves, and as you may have heard, I cannot with floating. Unless it comes with a wizard practicing a levitating spell 24/7, it's not allowed 😁

The slots are also duplicated for each tile, so that objects want to go on them twice, which I find a little exhausting in using the object. I have tweaked the shelves a tiny bit to align with purple omsp heights, set the slot height to be correct for the mesh, and I split the slots so that those that are on the right are on that tile, and slots that are on the left are on that tile. No more duplicating, huzzah.

It has recolors so definitely go grab those from the original upload if you did not have it already, not to mention all of the other cute items of the set :) Remember to remove the original rack file if you already had it. Note that slot adjustments cannot take effect until the item is removed from lot and then rebought, so if you had existing placements you want to update, you have to delete it first and buy a new one. Annoying, but such is CRES life unfortunately :3

Did your sim lose their diploma? Did you make an adult or elder in CAS and you want to give them a background that includes having a degree? Or do you perhaps do your own simulation of Uni that never uses the in game uni functionality? Whatever your reasons, I can think of scenarios where having a diploma on command is helpful, and so I made one.

And a buyable diploma is not much use unless you can set it up to be like an in game one.

Overrides the OBJD of the in game diploma, as well as pie menus, and adds some new debug interactions. You can access them by having testingcheats enabled, and holding down shift when you click the object.

Debug interactions - Change owner (gives you all adults and up on lot as options) - Set honors (impacts what the dialogue says when you view the diploma) - Set major (impacts what the dialogue says when you view the diploma. Cycles all available majors in your game, so if you have any custom, they will show up as well) - Current options are just there to show you what the settings are, to save you having to have a sim go view in order to verify your choices

The options that refer to current sim's whatever will pull from the sim's person data, so use these for sims that went to uni but lost their diploma. For honors, the none option will set the grade as the lowest possible while having still graduated.

A gift I made for @lamare-sims 😊 There's a few options for this out there already, but we agreed there was room for improvement so here is my take on a slot blocker object.

Found in general/misc, it costs nothing, and it does what it says on the tin. It sits in slots, to take up that space in situations where you perhaps wanted to rotate the object (shameless self-plug) or you had to use an OMSP to avoid clipping so that a slot visually looks filled but functionally isn't.

What Lamare wanted specifically was for this slot blocker to not prevent you from clicking on objects underneath it. So that's what I did! 😁 In live mode the object goes invisible automatically, and shrinks to the size of a speck of dust so that you have full clicking access to whatever may be overlapping :3 When you return to buy mode, it'll return to regular size and texture so that you can remove it if you want to. You can also recolor it invisible manually, if you prefer, it'll then remain invisible whether in live or buy/build.

A quickie little mod I made for @kashmiresims related to sprinklers breaking. When a sprinkler breaks, the mod will throw a pop up and move your camera to show you where the sprinkler is. So if it drives you batty that sprinklers break and you don't notice and suddenly the environment is tanked then perhaps this will be useful to you too.

The mod includes a debug interaction that can break a sprinkler on command. I made it for testing purposes and I figured it might be useful for some storytellers so I left it in. If you do not want that part you can delete the TTAs, TTAB and Debug - Set Broken bhav.

Episode 2 of Sunnyside Mall renovations from 2025 :3 The clothing store overhaul was inspired by CC mannequins from Deedee and Nekosayuri.

I made a lot of stuff, and tweaked most of everything else. I don't have a problem with being extra, nah, don't believe the rumors 😤😇
