It’s at least 4 feet tall and blooming in the front garden: Thalictrum flavum. Not native but a handsome thing until it starts to fade later in the season.

I actually meant to try growing regular tobacco, Nicotiana tabacum, but since I’m not going to smoke it or ingest it—I was just curious—this is ok. Everything I’ve read says this is much stronger.

Walked in the woods today because it’s probably the last morning cool enough to go in there and not be eaten alive. The reason all those birds go there to nest is that it’s teeming with insects to feed their babies with. I’m glad but I’ll leave it to them. Anyway it was beautiful and full of bird song.
