I know in a lot of desciple aus A-yaun is causing everyone psychological damage by looking like Shen Jiu, but sometimes I wonder what kind of psychological damage could be inflicted if A-yaun looked like Yue Quingyuan. Imagine the peak lords at the deciple selection event seeing a carbon copy of their virtuous sect leader. I feel like Shen Jiu and Yue Quingyuan would both project on to him in wildly different ways.
A-yaun gets to the scholarly peak and immediately starts protecting Binghe, and now Shen Jiu, filled with jealousy, is desperately trying to prove to himself that the little Yue Qi is just as untrustworthy as the original.
If A-yuan makes it to Yue Quingyuans peak, Yue Quingyuan becomes obsessed with his progress, pressuring him into becoming the version of him that didn’t fail, and getting a little frustrated at his deciples interest in learning about beasts and his enjoyment of novels when he could be studying and getting stronger.
A-yaun thinks its out of brotherly concern and a desire to keep the sect safe until he overhears a heated conversation between Shen Jiu and Yue Quingyuan where A-yaun is accused of being a bastard child and Shen yaun, as he does, comes to a wildly different conclusion about Yue Quingyuans motivations.
