my best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in ur life and it can become a vice if you play your cards right

like the betrayal’s always going to be worse if they cared about you and it didn’t matter. someone discards you because they didn’t give a shit, then you can be angry about that, you can feel vindicated in that, you can get over it. but if they can look you in the eyes and say “I love you. I would make the same choice again.” You will never sleep peacefully again, is all.

The four most interesting parts of time loop are when the person kills themselves for the first time, when they kill someone else for the first time (in a fuck around kind of way, this doesn't count if they already were killing people outside of the loop), how they break the loop, and the weeks afterward where they loose their fucking minds in an entirely different, significantly more damaging to the world around them way. And yet I rarely see anything done with that last one. People leave time loops and are all happy go lucky 'oh boy'. Where's the grappling with people you know who will never know you? Where's the knowledge that the safety of the loop is gone, and you can't fix any mistakes you make? That's the good angst I want

my roommate and i were trying to identify two birds outside of our window and she's pulling up pictures on her phone and she says "ok so that one's a house sparrow" and shows me a picture i nod my head and then she points to the reddish one next to it outside and says "and that one's a house finch" and she shows me again and i nod and then she switches to a new tab and it's a picture of hugh laurie and she says "and this is house m.d." i'm gonna kill her

god season 1 of teen wolf is so funny. Every teenager is making the worst decisions possible like it's their JOB. Allison finds out she's being lied to by everyone in her life and decides to kill people about it. Jackson asks a random creepy stranger to make him a werewolf so he can win lacrosse. Scott endangers himself and everyone around him on multiple occasions because he has a crush and accuses Derek of being a serial killer for NO reason. Stiles gets his alcoholic dad to drink and antagonizes everyone he possibly can at every opportunity. Lydia's by far the most reasonable one and she kisses her best friend's ex for no reason and REPEATEDLY chooses to keep dating JACKSON. 10/10 no notes
