Instead of saying, "Oh, I should be able to walk normally, like everyone else," you say, "Oh, my ankle is broken, which means it needs external support, which means I might need a doctor to set the bone, I might need a cast, I might need crutches, I might need to sit with it elevated for long periods of time and take pain medication to reduce the strain on my system." And most of all, "I might need someone to help me get all this because the injury itself means I'm under a lot of strain."
