He mainly kept to himself. His job was thankless at best, and held in distain at worst. He had learned this job and then worked it for most of his life alone. As an orphan he didn’t have parents to ever say goodbye to, and he’d never taken a wife or had any children of his own. The level of grief that those who came was foreign to him, but he could understand it hurt well enough. Especially seeing how desperate some were to have just a little more time with someone they loved. “Yes.” He sighed tiredly. “Makes anyone foolish enough to try something reckless.” It was something the necromancer seemed to prey on.

The gravekeeper didn’t know what kind of flower the man wanted to plant, but the explanation came fast. “Not much of a ‘flower’ if you ask me, but…I’ll do what I can to keep them alive. Soil here is fertile…may have a chance to thrive.” If they did grow well he’d have to prune them back, but that was already part of his job with any other plant here. “Is there anything else you’d like to arrange?”

Alvin surveyed the plot again, and let out a small sigh. “Not right this second.” Headstones for his father and his uncle could wait. If that wasn’t the single most suspicious, if one hundred percent truthful story he could front …. “I’ll probably have some more questions in a day or two.”

As he gathered his shovel and made for his other tools his hands paused. "If he's ever come here I wouldn't be able to tell. But yes, it causes a mess when a grave is dug up by someone wanting his services." He had to clean up the plot and keep it open, as everyone knew those resurrected by the necromancer died again. "The church has a warrant out for him, so it'd be best if you steered clear of Slum Street. That's where the rumors say he can be found."
