Forlorn and Felicity

Split seconds...

And imagine every impossible thing with you.

Than knowing what you should do

But still end up in the slumps

Dressing as a potential

Treated something special

But deep in that soul, you know—

You're nothing but a pathological pretender.

Starting to go bonkers...

We both agree to endure it all at any cost

We both understand the risks,

the pain it will possibly cause,

the tears we will probably shed, and

the laughter that will be probably remembered as the history of us.

We were rebellious and stubborn, we put our hearts at risk

Years and we grew callous, in denial, and lost.

But I don't miss the pain that comes with it.

A girl stares at the night sky

With aching heart and revolting cries,

As she silently wishes extinction for injustices.

Little bird is set to fly,

Hopes and dreams arise

I will be happy too, teary-eyed even. I know my man can do it, for I believe in him for years,

...because I was once there with him.

After a long day of demanding work;

After a series of unforeseen rejections;

After a grievous break up;

Everybody deserves a nice cup of tea.

We all do.

Like beings, it evolves.

Like language, it changes— overtime.

To the point that I can no longer fathom its magnificence.

Curious and stubborn as we are, we still indulge in its scary yet addicting offer– the journey of sadness and happiness.

I am so happy that it makes me sad.

What if we are so happy to the point we can't feel pain even we part ways.
