I hate this timeline. Look, I'm not even American, but this bullshit is downright ludicrous and inhumane. Spider-Man is a hero for all, regardless of immigration status.

The title of an article in the Washington Post says it all: "Deadly U.S. Boat Strikes Have Failed to Curb Cocaine Supply, Pentagon and DEA Officials Say."

Imagine that. Shocking! Who would have ever thought that would be the result of the Pentagon's murder of more than a hundred innocent people in little boats on the high seas thousands of miles away from American shores?

Well, pretty much anyone who has been paying attention to the drug war for the past 50 years. No matter what U.S. officials have done to crack down in a never-ending effort to win their beloved drug war, the result has always been the same -- failure to win their war. ...

And make no mistake about it: The Pentagon's killing of those boat people does in fact constitute murder. Under our system of criminal justice, everyone is presumed innocent of a crime until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. Every one of those dead boat people was as innocent as you and I.

Oh, sure, I know what defenders of these murders say. They say that our beloved government officials had secret information that they can't share with us that those boat people were carrying illegal drugs and planning to bring them into the United States in violation of U.S. drug laws. We just need to trust our daddy, they say, who would never lie to us and who is just interested in keeping us safe from the boogeyman.

But that secret information isn't worth anything. For one thing, U.S. officials could easily be lying about having that secret information. It certainly wouldn't be the first time they lied, especially in the drug war. More important, however, is that under our system of justice, secret information that indicates that a person is committing a crime does not furnish a justification for killing him.

Instead, what officials are required to do upon acquiring information, secret or not, that a person is committing a crime is arrest him, indict him, and bring him to trial. ...

Maybe some good will come from these military murders. Maybe the American people will finally come to the realization that the drug war is nothing more than a decades-old, ongoing, never-ending deadly, destructive, and corrupt racket that has brought nothing but death and the destruction of liberty and privacy, while making the federal government ever more powerful. Maybe -- just maybe -- Americans will finally, after decades of drug-war failure, pressure U.S. officials to terminate the abomination of the drug war. In that way, those innocent people who have been murdered at the hands of U.S. military personnel will not have died in vain.

(from the most recent change.org update) I apologize for taking so long to update everyone. Even though I am learning how to better deal with this horrible situation, my condition and wellbeing since having Sora taken away from me has not improved and in some ways has worsened. I am getting the medical and mental health attention I need, so I am in no danger and I am being treated well.

But my condition makes doing regular things extremely difficult. I have been talking to a number of people, but I could never find the energy to do much else. I have been going back and forth with many people in Ireland and in Japan about what has happened and what I need help with. It is very slow going, but a precious few people are actively talking to me and helping me.

Representation or not, I have to submit documentation to the Courts and to the opposition in physical form. Multiple binders worth of information. Since I have recently burned through the last of the money that was previously sent to me to stop Sora from being ripped from his home and his father, I cannot move forward without further assistance.

I need somewhere between €100 to €200 before this weekend to afford the material cost and postage to meet a pending deadline for submissions.

I don’t know how, but I have to succeed in arguing that deporting Sora was a mistake and that he needs to be with his father as he had been for his whole life and in Ireland to receive the competent mental health care that was concluded that he needed. Please help us.

Beautiful people,

Imagine having to flee your country because of war, or other atrocities, pain and suffering. Imagine having to leave behind your beloved animals in that place..

Some people were 'lucky' enough to be able to take their beloved companions along for the long journey to safety. They've leaned on them for love, companionship, for safety, for a sense of normality and familiarity. Animals play such an important role in our overal sense of wellbeing and our mental and emotional health.

It breaks my heart that there are policies that deny the importance of pets, and deny the truth of what they are: an important part of a family. And family should never be torn apart.

Some of the Ukrainian families now living in Hoorn, the Netherlands, risk losing their beloved pets due to inhumane policies that are totally unacceptable and unnecessary.

It makes me so angry and sad... The thought of having to flee a country under such traumatic circumstances is heartbreaking enough, but to lose your loved ones over something so petty and small as this, just feels so extremely unfair. And well, I'm just intolerable to injustice.... I cannot sit by and do nothing, even though I know I have no community here and am just starting out... I just hope someone finds this and signs.
