I can, and arguably I must.

I always think that sport events, especially international ones, are primarily about fun and cultural exchange and hanging out together; it gets lost sometimes when people pay too much attention to keeping scores, but joy and building bridges should be more important. So glad this seems to be happening right now!

I hope this is a good lesson for all involved. The average joes of given countries are your friends. You have more in common with them than your own corrupt elites. I'm also glad to see the Europeans are seeing the American heartland rather than the urban coastal hellholes filled with self loathing snobs. I hope this puts to rest the lie that Americans are all stupid, uncouth barbarians the European elites have been feeding them.
