i hate how many posts about trans women deserving respect always devolve into "I love girldick" or "trans rights but I don't want to date a trans person" because that's entirely unrelated to the topic at hand. you should not respond to feminism with "YESSS I loveeee you because I see you as nothing but a sex object" you people sound like other men I get stuck talking with that end up saying "free the nipple so I can see boobies in public" and thinking they're feminists. why can't we just respect women regardless of your attraction to them or not. why does it need to be brought up in every conversation regarding their rights

it actually makes me blindingly angry when men act apologetic or anxious about things that just are not misogynistic in the slightest because it tells me that you don’t know what misogyny actually is & you don’t care enough to learn or to think about it for two seconds. mostly along the lines of performing this weird cringing (but also sort of brag-y?) guilt about being sexually attracted to women “oh my god sorry I’m such a pig” etc. as if that is at all the problem.

like on the one hand I try to be sympathetic because we do live in a culture where the concept of being sexually attracted to women & of wanting to enact sexual violence upon women are all but equated, and maybe that’s difficult to sort out. but on the other hand, shut the ever-loving fuck up

the kids are calling them "stone fruits." they start off small—think cherries. then they're hooked and they need a quick fix, they get peaches, maybe some nectarines. it's all they can think about. before you know it, they're trying the really hard stuff—apricots, plums. once they taste a mango there's no going back.

efforts towards a "positive vision of masculinity" or whatever are so funny because what these guys are trying to figure out is literally "what's a way of being a good person that's Not For Girls™"

reminder to all disabled people that you’re allowed to tell people “i can’t do that” about stuff you can ‘technically’ do but which harms you or requires a period of recovery or preparatory rest etc. you don’t have to explain the complex nuances of your condition to anybody who demands it. i’ve found it’s honestly better to give the least amount of info about your symptoms unless you trust a person a lot. you hold the power over your health information. you choose whether or not to share the details of your condition with people who might not understand.
