whether or not it'd be an entire character in its own right, like Tenna, an entire "species" of Darkners performing the job/role of "sun," or just a setpiece (that's highly influential on the world state irregardless)? hell if I know. you could probably argue Everything in a dark world is a potential character, if you really wanted to. like, it's kind of scary, but we're already dealing with a situation where the distinctions between "object" and "person" are blurry at best. but that's kinda besides the point

Freeing games from the chains of gacha is always a good thing even though when you remove the compulsion aspect you usually end up with a game that isn't very good. But at least now they're mediocre games that aren't trying to give you a gambling addiction
