A lesbian being called transphobic for not wanting to date someone with a male body is just as ridiculous as telling a straight woman she’s homophobic for not wanting to date a lesbian.

Just now listening to Detention with Dolores and, man that scene. It winds me up so much. And then Harry not wanting to tell Ron or Hermione, or DUMBLEDORE, because Dumbledore hasn't spoken to him since June.... :((((((((
Me being me, though. I started imagining what fandom would have done with Umbridge if she'd been young and conventionally attractive instead of a toad-lady. I mean, we already have Bellatrix as the go-to hot female sadist and she serves very well and don't really need another one, but what if???

Snape
(in HBO's Harry Potter TV series)
Remember when Harry wished that he was lying with his parents underneath the snow?
Because I do.
Remember that time he wanted to die so he could be with Sirius?
Because I do.
Remember that time he got such a fixation on simply looking at a reflection of his dead family - not only was Ron worried about him, but Albus Dumbledore got concerned enough to break his 'don't get close to Harry' silence and talk to him for the very first time?
Because I do.
Remember when he had to remind himself his parents were dead and that listening to their final moments wouldn’t bring them back?
Because I do.

Why are so many GC women using gross AI images in social media posts???? God, the GC community is so embarrassing sometimes.
I don't think it's actually possible for me to inhabit space in Harry Potter fandom without turning into an asshole. :/ So many opinions irritate the hell out of me.
Been thinking about how we are finally going to see Andromeda Tonks on screen. Even if it’s not that much we are finally going to see her. I’m so excited and I can’t wait….
@goldie90 NOT ONE PEEP AND IT WAS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT LOWKEY PISSED ME OFF FOR SOME REASON.
It also made her my favorite Black sister and made me start to become lowkey obsessed with her. And it made me love the Tonks even more.
Don’t ask me why it just did. We don’t choose our favorite characters they choose us.
Same. Even though she only had one scene in the book, I still think they should have included all three Black sisters in the movies. Like....they didn't even mention that (Nymphadora) Tonks is related to Bellatrix, Narcissa, Draco and Sirius, because her mother wasn't mentioned at all. It was like Andromeda don't even exist.
And I think it's pretty cool she's your favorite :) She's an interesting character, maybe also especially because there is so little known about her. We know she rejected her family's beliefs, married a man they didn't approve of, but we don't know any details.
Do you think she was always "different" or would it be more likely that she did agree with her parents and sisters views at some point and only changed her mind when she fell in love with Ted?
And yeah that's true. My favorite Black sister is Bella. I'm not even sure why. She just is.😅
The first point you made. Exactly.
And thank you for saying it’s cool that she’s my favorite. She’s definitely an interesting character for sure, especially for the points you made which is why I came to like her. Let’s also not forget that she ends up raising Teddy as well. My poor Andromeda and Teddy ugh. At least they have each other and Teddy has Harry as his Godfather to help them out. Not to mention I believe he married Victoire Weasley which is cute.
As for the answer to your question according to my research she never agreed with the Black family pure-blood supremacist ideology and rejected it. Rebelling and leading her to be disowned. In fact, Pottermore/the Harry Potter website call her a hero and pretty much make it clear she was different. So it’s safe to say she was always different even before she meet and married Ted. And it wasn’t necessarily Ted that changed her mind. He was just an icing on the cake that added to who she already was.
Bellatrix is great. I’m more of a protagonist/good character lover, but if I was a fan of villains Bellatrix would probably be my favorite Black sister for sure not going to lie.

The Black Sisters are inspired by the Mitfords!
Andromeda is Jessica, Unity is Bellatrix, and Narcissa is Diana. Look them up, it's really interesting.
I am a Harry Potter book fan first then movies but I still think Harry and Hermione should have ended up together
mutuals and followers please tell me if this is still controversial because I agree....
I don’t like any of the canon pairings lol
I don’t like any of the canon pairings either 😭
There’s something suffocating about a community where everyone marries their childhood friend at such a young age
Ehhh it makes sense within the narrative, and while taking characterization into account. Sure, it's highly unrealistic and hardly anyone in real life would actually want an outcome like that. But this isn't real life, it's pure fiction. Harry and Ginny, and Ron and Hermione make sense when taking into account three things: by marrying into the Weasly family Harry's given a big family who loves and respects him, something he's always wanted, and two he and Ron end up being related albeit by law. As for Hermione and Ron, she too gets a big family that loves her, besides her own parents of course, and Ron gains someone who loves him for him and helps him be the best version of himself. And finally all three of them–Harry, Ron and Hermione–end up becoming officially a family, something that they always were, sure, but It's a fairytale, and I think it's perfect.
Yes, in some small ways Harry and Hermione, while I don't think work better, do make sense, but neither of them are what the other needs, narratively speaking. Ginny isn't afraid to lay into Harry when he's wrong, she's not afraid to speak her mind, and that's exactly what he needs; Ron helps Hermione loosen up, helps her see the fun in life, challenges her to consider different viewpoints in life and she needs that. Harry and Hermione are also too similary stubborn, but also way too different in ways that counts, plus he hates confortations and conflict, he'd never be able to stand–as we often see in canon–her seeming unwillingness to consider different viewpoints, plus she actually enjoys debates, or arguments as Harry sees them, and Harry hates them; Ron on the other hand as we've seen actually enjoys going head to head with Hermione. Another thing is, Harry's not good with feelings and speaking about them–which is why Ginny's perfect for him and I'll get to that, and as someone who's similar, that doesn't change with age much, and not cause we don't want to change, but simply cause we can't, and Hermione is all about talking about her feelings, and Ron, despite what one may think, is good at listening and doesn't feel awkward, after some growing up of course. Ginny is able to get Harry to open up, and while she's good with feelings, she's not emotional, something that suits Harry.
Overall, narratively, and characterization wise both pairings make sense, now people have prefrences, and I get that of course, this is just my two cents. Though I'd say there's loads more to say about both canon pairings.
Ginny makes Harry laugh. He has fun with her. They share interests. He does not with Hermione. They are close and love each other, but they aren't remotely suited as a romantic pairing. And Luna would drive Harry out of his mind in five minutes. What would they do together? What would they have to talk about?

I love Harry with Ginny in canon, I think they're perfect for each other.
I like him with Draco better, though, as there's way more angst and conflict and thus way more fun.

What is hilarious about the snater crowd who says that Snape would be creepy towards Harry if he was a girl and looked like Lily, is that it is a delusion that they thought up of purely on their own with zero canon support.
The same Snape who left Lily alone after she asked him to, keeping his word and staying away from far her until her death, only taking a piece of a letter as a memory of her. Like how can you even come to that conclusion? Why are you fantasizing about a character being pedophile just so you can hate him based on that incorrect information?
I have literally zero patience for people who think they have the right to control how other people enjoy fandom.
