I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. if they actually succeed long term it's going to be incredibly funny considering walmart's absolute trainwreck of an attempt at entering the european market that one time particularly since aldi seems to be bringing the european model of a store to yanks while walmart crashed and burned over here because they tried to bring the yankee model over here
Remember when Lidl came to Finland and they tried to have German-style cashiers where the customer packs immediately and then pays? And they had to replace all the machines at some expense into the model more common here?

Oh this is a common scam I find at work. Any file that:
isn't jpg, jpeg, pdf, or png
Is a file extension you don't recognise (this one is a visual basic file, used for scripting, but others like exe or bat are used)
has a very low or unexpected file size (this one's is less than 1KB, or 0.001MB, a good reference should be at least 500KB)
Is likely a scam. Stay safe kids.

Still wondering why the choice to cut everyone's mic on "We raise our cups". It's definitely just the way they do the production bc they've done it that way all three times I've seen it, but I'm not understanding the thought process behind it. Yeah, the song serves as a sort of quiet benediction, but you're doing your audience in the back half of the crowd a disservice, especially if they come in blind. I personally think you can have the same/better effect with everybody still mic'd up because the audience will know what's being said instead of scratching their heads going "wow, that sounds pretty, I wish I knew what the words were!"
