the six weasley spouses were asked to rate all the weasley siblings from most attractive to least. here are the responses:

Fleur

#1 bill - hubby!!! so respectful and sweet and loving, but also so fiery! that hair really gets her going... she had thought his scars were hot even before greyback happened, and he is no less attractive now!

#2 percy - a gentleman, treats her with respect. learnt french to properly communicate with her! he said he'd always wanted to learn another language and when he heard bill was marrying a french girl, it was the perfect opportunity to learn. what a shame that he's gay.

#3 charlie - also respectful. asks interesting questions and always willing to talk. not bad-looking.

#4 fred and george - also respectful. too caught up in themselves to really give her time.

#5 ron and ginny - no.

Oliver

#1 percy - he is the BEST. he is intelligent i mean sure he is academically smart but he's also just intrinsically smart and really thoughtful and caring and sweet and— (cut off before he could go into a full blown rant)

#2 charlie - attractive, great at quidditch. he had a crush on charlie when he was young.

#3 bill and ginny - also attractive and great at quidditch. they overwhelm him a bit.

#4 ron - he doesn't know the kid very well but he must be cool since harry likes him, right?

#5 fred and george - ANNOYING. (he is biased because the twins don't treat percy well)

Angelina

#1 fred - well, obviously. but tell him she put george on top just to fuck with him.

#2 ginny - she's not gay, but...

#3 george - physically attractive, too similar but also too different from fred for her to give him a proper number. either way, he is gay, so.

#4 bill - very cool, nice long hair. she wants to convince fred to grow out his hair too.

#5 ron, percy, and charlie - all physically attractive in their own ways. she doesn't know them well enough to comment further.

Lee

#1 george - very very cute. nice fluffy red hair and pretty hazel eyes. just... very cute.

#2 bill - cool as hell.

#3 charlie and ginny - also cool as hell, just a bit less.

#4 ron - pretty cool actually, but he's always preferred his men more muscly than tall.

#5 percy - he needs to loosen up a bit. he might know just the thing to get percy to do that, but he's not single, so...

#6 fred - a gremlin.

Hermione

(the only contestant who protested at first, but was eventually persuaded)

#1 ron - very thoughtful and caring, he's brave and loyal and so wonderfully smart and cute! and he can cook!!!

#2 everyone else - more like siblings to her than anything. she does appreciate percy's smarts and the twins' charms, but they're just not ron.

Harry

#1 ginny - she's cool, she's hot, she's wonderfully fiery and he could spend all day mooning after her.

#2 ron - ron's his best mate so he has a moral obligation to put him high on the least. (but he IS very sweet and caring and, well, if hermione broke up with him...)

#3 bill - he's not gay, but...

#4 fred and george - very fun to be around.

#5 charlie - physically very attractive. did not comment further.

I get it. It's cute. It's a sweet nickname, in isolation. For any other couple, it'd be fine. Great, even. I'd call it adorable. But in the context of Simon Iron Lung.

So many times.. in Iron Lung, does Simon completely reject talking about religion entirely. And when someone does bring it up, he is INTENSELY irritated.

Quote: "Do you believe in God?" - "Uh, let's not get into that. I hear enough of that talk on Eden."

I want to just start with a question: Why would Simon "RELIGIOUS TRAUMA" Iron Lung.. want to be reminded of his trauma. Because clearly even the subject of it is uncomfortable for him, and he clearly does not buy into eden when it comes to their teachings. He does everything possible to remove himself from Eden, in fact.

Maybe sometimes he parrots some of Eden's teachings, but I don't think it's meant with any sort of genuine "believing in it" as much as he is just referencing it.

Not once in this movie does he pray to any sort of god or saint. The only thing AT ALL similar TO EVEN THE CONCEPT OF PRAYER that he did was at the end, and that wasn't to a god. That was to his fucking MOTHER. And forgive me but it rubs me WAY the wrong way when in these fics Simon is "worshipping" Grace. It just seems so intensely uncomfortable to me.

Why would Grace be attracted to that? I'm decently sure that in the book and movie, Grace seems pretty neutral in terms of religious affiliation? I don't think he would be at all inticed by the idea of that intense glorification. He's just a man, a scientist. He is a man of logic. It doesn't feel "fun" or "kinky", it feels disturbing. He would NOT want to play into that.

Also, POWER IMBALANCE. If you are genuinely viewing your partner as higher than you, as some sort of actual angel, that's INCREDIBLY unhealthy! For Simon and Grace both!

And I know what I am, I am a white person- but this entire obsession with this idea of Grace as an angel and a savior to simon-- It's a bit "white savior".

That's all I have for now, but if anyone has absolutely anything they'd like to add, whether it be agreeing or disagreeing, just sharing a different perspective, feel free.

I would like to remind you - what I say does not matter. You do not have to change anything just because I'm saying something. You can do whatever the fuck you want. I am not attempting to police anyone on anything, or speak down on people. I may go on about this, but I have no disdain for people that do choose to do this trope.

Note- Since noble characters are theoretically already destined to inherit the throne, I put in some extra works that I would see them doing if they were common people.

Royal Work and Degrees:

Apple would earn a degree in Economics and Management, which would allow her to manage the kingdom in a financial way. Especially since it's her favorite subject in canon (Kingdom Management). I think Apple, even as a "non-princess," would have a political career, so a version of her that doesn't inherit the throne would become able to become Ambassador

Alistair would earn a degree in archaeology, and become a well-known archaeologist and explorer, with important academic publications.

Ashlynn is perhaps the one I would see getting a medical degree, specifically as a pharmacist. Ashlynn is constantly helping others, but she also loves the environment, so the role of pharmacist is ideal; both as a common job, but also possibly as a princess.

Blondie obviously graduated in Communication Sciences to pursue a career as a journalist.

Brair has two possible choices: Scenario 1, she continues her life as a socialite, and gets a comfortable degree in communications sciences to give herself some prestige; she is the type of queen that just throws parties. Scenario 2: She follows her inclination for chemistry and, after abdicating the throne, becomes the creator of a revolutionary cosmetics brand. Briar Beauty already sounds like the name of a brand after all.

Bunny will enroll in law school like her father, but instead of being a lawyer, she will become a notary.

Daring would enroll in Dramatic Arts and become a famous actor and model. Now, if he was a commoner, he would probably be a movie actor. However, I think that as King Consort of Rosabella, he would probably work more as a model (literally the face of the kingdom); or at least as a stage actor. Practically male Grace Kelly.

Dexter definitely has engineering since he's a good inventor. Especially Civil Engineering because I think he (even as king) would care a lot about creating functioning community spaces for everyone.

Duchess becomes a famouse ballet dancer,which means that she would have a complete training at drama school. Since ballerinas retire extremely early, she will have to find another job and I believe she would become an artistic director in the theatre and on television.
