Hi! I'm Nes, short for Inès, long for... Well, nothing.
Welcome to my safe place! Take a cup of your favourite drink and make yourself comfortable!
Here you will have mostly reblogs, and sometimes my incoherent thoughts, mainly about Good Omens. I love a lot of things, like Doctor who, David and Georgia, Anna and Michael, or Kaamelott, but the Ineffable Husbands take up most of my brain...
Thanks for coming, and I hope you'll enjoy it here! Don't hesitate to come in my asks or my dm's, they're open, and I'll enjoy the distraction.
Oh and English isn't my first language, I'm sorry for any mistakes I could make!
Okay, so that was the fun part. For the least fun part:
I don't feel like talking about Good Omens without mentioning him:
Maybe you're new to the fandom, or maybe you simply don't know it, but N*il G*iman has been accused by several women of sexual assault.
I won't judge your reaction, do as you think is the best for you! I just think it's important to be informed. There are articles out there if you want to know more. But please, be aware that they can be triggering, so make sure you're in a good place mentally to read them.
If you can and want to, consider having a look at this
As for my reaction: I will never, ever support him, or defend him, or anything. Yes, I still love Good Omens, and the fandom. Yes, I hate NG with all my heart at the same time.

With thanks to those that requested it, we are organising a sympathy card for Rachel Talalay following the loss of her husband and would like to invite Good Omens fans to sign:
Add your message to Rachel Talalay's card.
This is simply an opportunity to extend condolences and kindness during a difficult time.
Whatever opinions or disagreements people may hold, harassment is unacceptable. We do not condone that behaviour, and it should never define this fandom.
Compassion costs nothing and it is reflective of the community many of us want to be in. If you'd like to sign, please do so by Sunday 24th May - otherwise, please scroll on by.

The more I think about it, the more I believe the divide in the Good Omens fandom right now is a philosophical one.
We’re asking, where does the soul live?
For those who think that who we are is shaped by a life time of experiences. That we grow and change with each each heartbreak and trauma. We see the ending as something horrible. We’re witnessing the death of our beloved characters and we are grieving for them.
For those who believe in a soul, who believe that Asa and Anthony are Aziraphale and Crowley because of the something intrinsic that lives inside them, what they’re seeing is a rebirth and a second chance. In that sense the ending is beautiful. They both get exactly what they’ve always wanted. To live as humans without the pressure of heaven and hell. In that sense, the ending is a joyous one.
Sadly these beliefs are deeply held, often the roots begin as far back as our childhoods. No amount of screaming at each other about media analysis is going to change anyone’s mind. Please just accept that there are multiple ways that one can view the ending and that those who are upset are experiencing grief. This is an extremely normal and valid reaction to end of something so meaningful and should be treated with care.
That said, your grief is not an excuse to lash out and those who don’t deserve it.
it feels like the person who wanted to give you a forehead kiss accidentally ends up headbutting you, making you fall over and crash your head on the concrete.
One thing I love about GO3 is that now that the multiverse is comfirmed, Good Omens is entirely, 100% ours. It belongs to us, the fans, the creators, the artists, the readers. It is what we say it is, and everybody's headcanon is canon in a way.
So go ahead and pick up your pen, your tablet and give them the ending or the beginning you want. I'll read it. We all will.
Okay, I avoided Tumblr for the last 48 hours. I needed to sit with my feelings, and process the finale.
The first thing that comes to my mind, is that I am so so so grateful. I got to see Aziraphale and Crowley one more time. When they appeared on the screen, I cried. They were there. For 90 precious minutes, my favourite characters were here again.
Also, I got to share this moment with a room full of fans. We gasped together. We screamed together. We clapped together. We cried together. We laughed together. And that's what Good Omens is about, isn't it? It's community. It's humanity. It's about the beauty of being human, of experiencing intense feelings. It's about the duality of being human too: so happy that we cried, so sad that we laughed.
And Good Omens is, for me, way more than the series. It's the fandom. It's the people. With the other organiser of the viewing, we got to tell these people about the fandom. Some decided to join us! We talked about the picnics of the ineffable society (where we met), the ineffable con, the discords. We talked about the community we are. And I'm so so grateful for this community.
I will talk about my feelings about the finale, and the ending. But I'll make another post. This feeling of belonging to something just deserved its own post.

Today, I've been going through London with my best friend, searching for the Good Omens filming locations.
On their bench in St James Park, I found a little A+C.
In The Enterprise, the pub where Crowley gets drunk after the bookshop burned, my friend found an A+C in the toilet.
At St James Park, someone smiled at me. I was wearing all black, red hair, sunglasses even with the rain, sitting on their bench. I'm quite sure they knew what was happening there.
So, all of this to say, thank you. To the fandom. Because I found little pieces of you throughout my day, and it made it even better.
