Read theory. Read the commentaries on the theory. If you don't understand, that proves you haven't read enough. If you disagree with any of it, that proves you're a bad person.

Follow the right influencers. Support the right politicians. Follow the leaders of our movement. Until we decide they're bad people, anyway.

March in our protests. Commit to our boycotts. Donate to our causes. Don't ask what we hope to achieve or how we think we're going to get that effect from what we're doing. Only a bad person would ask those questions.

You personally not having experience with the word as a term of abuse DOES NOT MEAN it isn't still one. I tag the q slur because it's legitimately triggering to me and several of my LGBT friends and you can fuck off if you have a problem with that!!

there's another case i read of an iranian trans man who nearly could not leave the country to start his new life, because the law was that father's got notified whenever their daughters got new passports. the law was only recently changed when the author got his, and even then he had to be extremely careful not to let his father know or find it.

obviously trans women's lives are deeply shaped by misogyny on all levels! but god people always seem to overlook how being raised a girl in high-control misogynistic environments makes it really fucking hard to transition. if you are 19 and already have a child or are pregnant, have no income, have no education, are fully reliant on your husband on all social and financial and political levels... when do you even have the chance to think about your gender? and even if you do, what can you do about it?

Especially if they're poor or lower caste. Opportunities for women have largely opened up in the last few decades, but this is usually only for upper class and/or upper caste women. For poor women and lower caste women, especially those who live in villages, education, financial freedom, freedom of choice in marriage, and many, many other basic human rights are inaccessible.

The people who might be out as trans men can't do so because they are born into patriarchal families that are often abusive. Then they get married, often not of their own accord, to cisgender men who are also abusive by virtue of an extremely patriarchal society. They cannot cut their hair short or wear men's clothes because this would be a disgrace to the family and the husband and they would be punished for it. This punishment could be physical abuse, rape, other sexual abuse, and much else.

It's not that there are "less" trans men in India. It's that the ones that exist very rarely have the freedom to explore these gendered desires because they are born into and locked in rigid gender roles where their job is often just to be a wife, a baby-maker, and a provider.

The ones that do try to come out are often locked away, physically or figuratively, and their gendered desires smothered, because that's firstly, not their purpose, secondly, perverted, and thirdly, a disgrace and a shame to the family, especially when "the family" can sometimes mean a tight-knit communal structure that, in a patriarchal society, breeds abuse. Either that, or they are thrown out or abandoned, and their name and history gets erased from the family, as with any hope of financial support.

I know several trans men in here because I volunteer with a queer support group, but the ratio of trans men, mascs, and AFAB nonbinary people to trans women and AMAB enbies is much, much lower, because those perceived as "women" here can't even think of exploring their gender. Not only is the gender itself is a prison, but the expectations and the violent subjugation that comes along with it make it impossible to even think of exploring gendered desires. Every single Indian trans man I know, with the exception of one (myself), has been raped or sexually abused as a result of their transness, and forcibly feminized by their families, by way of clothing, arranged marriage, household duties, etc., in some cases even being physically locked away and kept from the rest of society. It's just not an option for most of us.

idk, I just think it's innately wrong to call anybody unlovable for their gender; didn't realize that'd be controversial. At the same time though, treating people as less worthy of care and compassion for something so simple seems to be depressingly normalized, so much so that I didn't always bat an eye at it.

It ain't right, yall deserve love too, and care, and tenderness, and affection. Don't for a second feel that you don't.

the effect that uses them doesnt actually use that first one, but references a texture that doesnt seem to exist anymore as one of the decals that it can use, so that suggests another cut crop circle

now, like I had said in that other post, she's more understanding than a lot of people ACTUALLY WITHIN OUR DEMOGRAPHIC. I had complained about transgender men being ignored within the community and she said started her response with "Honestly, I noticed that a long time ago. I totally understand."

previous to me, she's only ever known one transgender guy before. she's even woke about the transgender women in sports thing when I've seen fucking normie liberals not be able to understand that.

This is an inherently exorsexist and intersexist worldview, in my opinion.

Bigender people are almost always forced to 'pick' which gender they are 'more', or have it automatically assigned for them. Their pronouns may be conditionally respected, but people get very uncomfortable, when a bigender person challenges the concept of man and woman as opposite. Constantly, you see "male spaces" and "female spaces", discourse about which labels are for men (and therefore not for women) or vice versa, and other similar conversations, inherently leave out men who are women, and women who are men. Bigender people are ignored, or spoken over, or pushed to 'pick' a gender so they can be neatly categorized, because man and woman are conceived as two opposite mutually exclusive ends of a spectrum that cannot intersect.

Agender/genderless/transneutral people are similarly erased or forced to pick sides, often sorted into a box either based on what people assume they're 'closer' to based on their physical traits (and i hope i dont need to stress how dysphoria inducing that can be) or told they're transfem/transmasc regardless because, well, "You're still transitioning away/toward something", because people conceptualize agender/genderless individuals as being not truly genderless at all, but as being merely at the center of the man to woman spectrum.

Then there are perisex nonbinary people who identify closely with their agab, perisex nonbinary women/fems afab and perisex nonbinary men amab. Gender essentialists either try to cut these people out of trans identity entirely, fakeclaiming them, insisting they're basically cisgender, engaging in intense transmedicalist rhetoric dressed up in a slightly more 'acceptable' font now that transmedicalism is somewhat less accepted in the community..or they insist that, despite many not being at all masculine, perisex nonbinary people afab are all transmasc, and vice versa.

I consider all of these things to be misgendering! Forcing any nonbinary person toward any binary or gendered term they do not identify with is misgendering! And it's done constantly by other trans people who would rather be openly and violently exorsexist than rethink their gender essentialist simplistic reductive sliding scale framework for how extremely complex societal structures and personal identities work.
