It is true that deviating from sexual norms is punished by society. And a lack of interest in sex and a lack of sexual attraction does actually deviate from sexual norms. Because it is expected by default that sex is being had. We are being punished by two extremes of the same problem here. We are not your enemy. Also, there are asexual people who have gay and/or kinky sex! There are no clear-cut lines in the sand here!

Just because you’re part of an oppressed party does not mean you cannot hold bias against other groups or members of your own group. Bias is learned and ingrained through society and family and it takes real work to unlearn it. No one is perfect, no one is without bias and you are in fact going to fuck up now and again—what matters is if you learn from it and grow.
