Too many people on Tumblr never moved past their edgy highschool reverse misogyny phase and now are on here saying the same things there dad says about women but about trans men, intersex men, black and brown men, and disabled men, but thinking there being cool and progressive not just like... an asshole

btw if you are friends with someone and you have the kind of dynamic where you can tease each other you also need to be nice. just so we're all aware. you also have to be nice with your words on top of it. like with your words. use your words. you should tell them with your words when you like something about them. if you are scared of being too sincere or vulnerable that is not an excuse to not be nice to someone. also you should work on that. ok are we all on the same page

I think people need to understand that everyone has to unlearn misogynistic behaviors and thinking patterns. Cis women and trans women and cis men and trans men and anyone who doesn’t fall under those categories are all completely capable of being misogynistic and actively hurtful to women. Trans men are included in this, obviously, but when you only call for trans men to unlearn this mindset, you are no longer being progressive and fair. You are singling out a minority.

Extremely fucked up phenomenon happening to me right now trying to research elective hysterectomy access/rates of medical provider refusal is that the majority of what I’m finding is all about tracking cases where hysterectomy was performed when it “shouldn’t”, not when it hasn’t been performed when the person wants it. Forced sterilization is indeed a important human rights issue and deserves to be tracked but it deeply disturbs me knowing the considerable amounts of anecdotal experiences of cis women in my life who wanted and refused outright a hysterectomy that it seems to be a “niche” issue that isn’t tracked. Which is also a massive human rights violation over bodily autonomy and reproductive rights. Given that a hysterectomy is all but required for phalloplasty whether or not someone can get one on an elective basis is incredibly important for transmasc/intersex/transneutral liberation and yet I’m struggling to find statistics for even cis women. Not to mention it can be a lifesaving procedure for people with uteruses currently living under anti-abortion laws.
