It’s so lonely being a lesbian sometimes. If you’re not a lesbian, you can really never truly understand the loneliness that comes from being a woman who has no attraction to men in this male-dominated world, while also trying to give our love to other women, who more often than not will not reciprocate it. This loneliness and isolation is one reason why I’m so happy to see other lesbians being unabashedly open about their sexuality, whether it be online, on TV, on the street, at a pride event… It’s just such a relief to know that I am not alone as a lesbian. There are many more of us out there.

Tucking is way more dangerous than people seem to realize. Tucking can cause irritation, blisters, urinary tract infections, and may increase the chances of getting testicular cancer.

Forcing trans people to tuck is violence.

all of this!! it can also cause inguinal hernias, which is basically when the abdominal muscles in the inguinal cavity (where the testes go when u tuck) weaken and part of ur intestines slip through that wall and either get the blood supply cut off or worse. its fixable with surgery but if left alone can be life threatening.

and like you say, its violence. its society forcing many trans women to choose between either self inflicted violence or violence from a hate crime. trans bodies need to be normalised and accepted. we deserve to live safely and happily.

ok real fucking talk? the majority of so called oppression ace people face either does not actually stem from them being ace and is a result of homophobia or misogyny, or is literally just people being mean to them online.

however, in 2013 a whole 5% of Russians (that’s over 7 million people) said that gays should be ‘liquidated’, aka executed. 85% don’t want gays to be able to get married. 16% think gays should be isolated from society, and 22% insist upon compulsory treatment.

if you want to call the murder (look at chechnya, afghanistan, brunei, iran, mauritania, nigeria, pakistan, qatar, saudi arabia, somalia, sudan, yemen, and tbh most western countries as well - pulse shooting in orlando?) of lgbt people being compared to online teasing ‘oppression olmypics’, then all you’re showing is that you are incapable of differentiating between literal murder and some mean comments. that you see lgbt people saying that their being killed is worse than receiving mean comments (because again, correctional rape is misogynistic and homophobic the majority of the time) as a way to get one up on you instead of them saying ‘fucking hell i can get killed for just existing in so many parts of the world’.

i really can’t take anybody serious who thinks gay men aren’t oppressed anymore or are so much less oppressed than everybody else because they see more gay men on fucking TV shows like

i’m friends with a LOT of gay men, and i have to watch almost all of them, on a daily basis, monitor their mannerisms and the way they talk based on where we are and who we’re with, because they’re afraid if they act “too gay” they will be /physically assaulted/… and that’s just one example of the kind of things my friends (and so many gay men) have to deal with regularly. and then i have to come on this hellsite and see you all be viciously homophobic all while pretending you’re being “radical” and “progressive” … newsflash, you’re not. not one bit.

and like, i 100% agree that gay men have privileges over me, a gay woman, because they are men, and over trans people if they are cis and POC if they are white etc etc etc i 100% think we need more diverse voices and i 100% agree cis white gay men shouldn’t be the face and voice for our entire community but

it’s still ridiculous and frankly, completely removed from reality, to act like gay men are this huge privileged group who don’t deserve a voice in our community. get off the internet and realize how fucking ignorant you guys sound.
