Wakes up from hypnosis where he was about to marry a woman he’s never seen before with his mystery girl’s voice, the instant he wakes up then the cute girl he’s actually fallen in love with now has that voice. Then she drops to the floor and has a fish tail, and then the first girl is suddenly cackling “too late!” and bursting out of her skin. So it turns out she’s actually an octopus woman who drags herself over to the real mystery girl - who’s a mermaid?! They’re real?! - and taking her back into the ocean. And Eric has no idea what’s going on here but okay, one of these women is clearly evil and he needs to go after his mystery girl.

And all of this happens/he realizes what he has to do within like, a single minute.

Prior to this he was just living out a sweet romance after having a Meet Cute with a shipwrecked girl, but okay, guess he’s involved in whatever the fuck this is. Acting first, questioning later.

For anyone else who is. you know. not very good at having to transcribe text from an image you have to constantly scroll up and down to be able to see because Working Memory Is Shit and its always up to people who also struggle with this stuff to care about other people who can't see/understand images even less than we do, *please* start making image descriptions if you are able to and especially if its easier for you as a fully ablebodied / neurotypical who doesn't have to squint at a screen to see the text, or only have to read a sentence once or twice to transcribe it without constantly double checking you're typing the right words. Especially if you are posting your own art, make image descriptions for it, because you, the artist, know more about the subject than a viewer!

For anyone having to transcribe text with difficulty, or even just a lot of text in one go, I have this as a pinned tab in firefox now, to help take the legwork (or rather, scrollwork) out of describing text-based images:

A male human and a female human are roughly the same size and same coloration.

Meanwhile, male black widow spiders are brown and a tenth the size of females. Anglerfish females are a full foot long and have a bioluminescent protrusion on their heads; males are barely half an inch long with no bioluminescence or protrusions. Male elephant seals are ten times bigger than females and have massive snouts. Male orangutans have big jowls and neck sacs that look like goiters, while females look more like other apes. Peacocks have flashy coloration and a long tail that they can display. The females are brown and simple.

Lowland Gorilla males tend to be 2.38x on average the mass of Lowland Gorilla females. Humans? That ratio is something line 1.15.

Male gorilla canines tend to be about 2 inches long, easily twice the length of some of their other teeth. Male humans have canines the exact same length as human female canines and the exact same length as the rest of our teeth.
