Interestingly only 34% of people we asked are doing less than once a week of concentrated activity
We see more than ever people are better educated on nutrition and the excise they should be doing in order to stay fit as part of a balanced life.
We see news articles appearing more frequently about the benefits of exercise and the problems bad diet and high levels of sugar can create.
It is a big topic of conversation at the moment with many of the biggest manufactures of high processed and sugary food/ drinks being put under pressure to cut down on certain ingredients know to put increase strain on the body and offer alternatives in order to decrease the rise in obesity and other health problems related to these high processed and sugary foods and drinks.
But what about activity levels?
We recently have completed a campaign with our industry experts James PT on the levels of activity people are doing during an average week.
We found that 46% of people are doing some sort of Physical activity between 2 and 4 times a week. This can range from walking all the way up to you higher intensity activities such as five a side football, running, or other hobbies which get the heart rate pumping.
We asked over nearly 300 people between the ages of 18 - 55 what they do on a weekly basis and heres a little bit more about what we found
~ 34% Less than once a week
~ 46% Were between 2 and 4 times a week
~ 20% over 4 times a week
What this showed us was that people are a lot more aware about the benefits of exercise in a regular routine with only 34% doing it less than once a week.

We went ahead and asked 100 people aged 18-39, in the North West of England which shops would they prefer to shop at ...
We found that just over 60% of them would rather shop online than the main outlets local to us
Next in the poll was the city center shops followed by Intu Trafford Center, Cheshire Oaks and Liverpool One.
This shows that now even more than ever people are using online more and more in their daily lives.

After you have created a plan to capture customer content in this way, simply asking more questions will not only help you gather valuable customer data to improve your existing relationships it will also allow you to again share some of the results and create a steady flow of customer content.

The more we talk about things the more things get solved. So why do some business still not talk on a weekly basis with there customers old and new?
It seems such a simple thing to do yet something which is easily forgotten as we go through our daily routines.
Now some people are excellent at this and we all know someone just like this.
These are the people you hear from on a daily, weekly or monthly basis who just check in to see how things are going, these are the people who when they don’t call, you miss and wonder why you haven't heard from them recently.
These people understand that if you are not interacting someone else is.
Businesses are exactly the same; if they go quiet there are 100 others out there trying to fight for that interaction. Someone with the same product or service offering something ever so slightly different.
This is why it is important to stay in touch with the old and the new, for your own well being as much as your customers.
If you stay on top you will never have to sell, if you let it slide time and time again you will have to pick yourself up from the bottom of the pile.
So how can you stay in touch without getting in peoples faces to much?
Monthly interactions, whether thats emails, phone calls, texts or social media. Finding a way within your industry to interact on a regular basis with your market will make your organisation a lot more efficient in both sales and customer service.
Feedback is another way to have that customer of yours own a piece of your landscape. This connects them with your business and creates a great feed for new and potential customers joining your organisation.
Offers and deals for customers only, loyalty programs are huge for creating a community around a product or services finding away fro people to enjoy coming back to you doesn't get much better than giving them more of it than they expect!

A lot of people get confused and think the more they share the better there online activity, but the reality of it is the same as it always has been quality over quantity.
Choose to represent, inform and communicate with people, over shouting, telling and pushing towards them. The art of this lie in deciding what it is you have to say and creating a plan to stick to exactly that.
The best sort of content lies in educating, communicating and delivering on your experiences.
Educating the community you have in more depth about the industry or expertise's you have. Help them understand more about the product or service you are providing so they are more informed when using it. Answer questions openly, ask questions openly to create discussion, as these discussions can create awesome content for you business to publish online, as more often than not if one person has that question you can bet another also has the same question.
