A soft smile graces his lips soon after uttering that single word. The butterflies that had been fluttering in his stomach moments ago only now starting to calm themselves, if only slightly.

“You want to?” The other boy questions as if to make sure he hadn’t misheard but instead of waiting for a confirmation he approaches the other in obvious excitement. “I won’t disappoint you, I promise. I-I’ll plan the best date ever.”

A laugh escapes the raven haired boy’s lips, his head cocking down until the laughter subsides, then he looks back up to meet the gaze of the most beautiful pair of chocolate brown eye’s he could ever recall seeing. “It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. As long as I’m with you it’ll already be the best.”

A wide goofy grin grows on the brown haired boy’s lips and, before he can really react, he finds himself being excitedly embraced by him. It takes a moment to recover from the sudden lack of distance between them, takes a moment for him to calm his pounding heart, and it’s just as he’s about to reciprocate that he feels the other step back.

“Sorry, I guess, I got a little too excited there, huh?” He said sounding embarrassed and bringing a hand up to scratch at the back of his neck. “I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”

The blue-eyed teen shakes his head immediately. “No.. no. Don’t be. I just...” But, instead of finishing off a sentence he wasn’t even sure how he wanted to finish in the first place, the black haired boy moved forward to close the distance between them once more and give the other a warm embrace of his own.
