I’m still trying to figure out why I had such a fun time at the clubs in the castro and why I pretty much never feel like that at my local clubs. I mean I imagine it’s a mixture of factors but definitely one of those is that the ones in the castro are so small that they inherently feel like a house party and everyone’s in super close quarters and you kind of Have to interact with people in a way. but idk. there’s more to it. I don’t know I’ve been thinking about it for a month because I wish I could feel like that again

#genuinely aside from drag shows that may be the only time I’ve ever had fun at a club #I usually don’t know what the fuck to do and I feel weird and alone and invisible #notably I don’t really have friends so I’m almost always alone going into it #hm I think another factor is music. like if they’re playing shit I don’t know or like or even just feel neutral about I’m not gonna be #compelled to dance or whatever.
