gender envy is nice but what about gender appreciation? what if i don't exactly wanna go with my own gender in that direction but i'm still like "love what you've done with the place" when seeing someone's gender presentation?
"You can't ship those characters because they have a problematic height gap" well, strictly speaking we can't ship one of them. The other is well within the size and weight limits of most domestic parcel couriers.
icu, eyeball throbbing and neck stiffness. you stop that.
having a body is so tiring lol

How do you learn to stand up for yourself and advocate for yourself?
I think self advocacy (with respect and tact) just comes with age. If i respect the person across from me, and simultaneously myself, then i have to assume in good faith that they can handle my truth. And that I can handle my truth, as well as the possibility of it being taken the wrong way. I don’t give anyone the power to destabilize my life. I have autonomy over my self expression, and I operate from a place of assuming other people do too. Even if they don’t, my ability to operate from this foundation gives them permission to do so too. My top values are integrity and sincerity. This builds trust with people.
« In all imaginative writing sympathy for the subject is necessary not because it is the politically correct or morally decent posture to adopt but because an absence of sympathy shuts down the mind: engagement fails, the flow of association dries up, and the work narrows. What I mean by sympathy is simply that level of empathic understanding that endows the subject with dimension. The empathy that allows us, the readers, to see the "other" as the other might see him or herself is the empathy that provides movement in the writing.
When someone writes a Mommie Dearest memoir - where the narrator is presented as an innocent and the subject as a monster - the work fails because the situation remains static. For the drama to deepen, we must see the loneliness of the monster and the cunning of the innocent. Above all, it is the narrator who must complicate in order that the subject be given life. »

This is it, this is the one
"i asked chat gpt-"
well I asked the Glow Cloud (all hail) and it emitted a low whistleing and dropped a lizard on my head.
im curious about a specific generational divide
regardless of you being queer or not, did your parents ever gave you the "if you turn out to be gay it would be fine" talk, before you ever had the chance to say anything on your own about that?
gen z, yes
gen z, no
millenial, yes
millenial, no
gen x, yes
gen X, no
baby boomer, yes
baby boomer, no
because it happened to me and im wondering if this was a product of the ongoing cultural change around gay issues. before i ever had the chance to say to my parents "i am this" my mom was already sitting me aside to tell me "if there is anything you want to tell me, i want you to know ill accept you no matter what"
New normal for me ✨🖤
Something I was really vulnerable about was becoming an ambulatory cane user. I think it really came from a place of accepting that it is a part of my life now and I will have a new normal moving forward. I won’t always have to use it. But between my hyper mobility issues and blackouts from dysautonomia it’s a safety measure that I am going to take.
