we seriously need to bring back the concept of “despite its flaws i still enjoy it” instead of ‘cancelling’ every fuckin thing in sight 

#we need to trust that just because someone loves a thing it doesn’t mean they don’t know it’s flawed

We also need to stop insisting that everyone enjoying flawed things must put 25 cents in the Problematic Jar and recite all its failings from memory.

i feel like this thing where people are going stir-crazy and want something to do less than a week after being explicitly ordered to stay home under threat of disease and death kind of blows a hole in that “if we give people universal basic income everybody will just be lazy and won’t want to work” talking point

The number of artists, writers and musicians dumping output for free to cheer us up is right there in the “people will do productive things because the things need to be done” department.

Going forward Im gonna add "How did your company take care of people during the corona virus?" To my questions I ask interviewers. Cause I can count friends of mine who were fired with no pay on two hands and this shits fucked up.
