Cameron Rowland's Estate (2024) documents fifty years of real estate transactions by Dia Art Center and its various art constituents. One property on West 23rd St in Manhattan, was to be a permanent Cy Twombly Museum.

But then Dia imploded, the de Menil family swooped in to take over and stop burning money, and a bunch of properties were disposed of, including the once-future-Cy Twombly Museum. Which got a shitty five floor condo addition in 1988. Sorry not sorry if you live there. I do wish it was a Twombly Museum instead tho

In 2016 I marked the appearance at auction of Gerhard Richter's print Erster Blick (2000) by making a full-scale print of the entire FAZ article Richter had clipped his subatomic picture from.

Now, while another example of Richter's print is for sale, Untitled (Erster Blick) will be available, too, until around 11AM CT, 16 July 2026

this idea, of a commemorative artwork marking the sale of another artwork, began during Frieze 2014, when I made a photocopy of an unsigned, cropped, 1989 Cady Noland photocopy of Patty Hearst at Tanya at Christie's. Which, if you cut off all the greg.org parts, would leave a perfect [sic] replica of Noland's version.

So, keep a real work by me, or destroy it to make a fake Cady Noland, the choice was yours.
