Recipes from Portland's famous but long-closed Rheinlander restaurant. This cookbook was produced in a limited window before Chef Mager's death. All of these fucking slap.
For my fellow vegan/vegetarians, these sound scrumptious and look pretty simple to make substitutions!

And, as we all remember from our multiplication tables, 42 is just six se

I don't think we give enough credit to Brian Murphy as a DM for the sheer breadth of women NPCs. He will give you everything. Extremely nuanced and complicated villains and allies, sisters with complicated relationships to each other and with their mothers. Strong little girls and weak ones too. Hot babes with no time for your nonsense. Hot babes with plenty of time for your nonsense. Middle aged women whose cause is tangentially related to the plot so they'll help out but their priorities are elsewhere. Battle hardened fighters and warriors. Prissy princesses. Spies and schemers, and incredibly honest women. Gross women and women who think the main characters are gross. Tech geniuses. Selfish women who seem to be villains but as time winds on become understandable in their actions. Villains who are unsympathic the whole time. Smart women and idiots too. Insecure women, manipulative women. Women who are Bigger than that. I know in many ways it's a low bar to set, but I always find myself amazed at how well Murph handles women, both in his writing and improv. If everyone included as many varied women in their work as Murph did, the narrative landscape would be a better place.
