Someone spoke to me last night, told me the truth. Just a few words, but I recognized it. I knew I should make myself get up, write it down, but it was late, and I was exhausted from working all day in the garden, moving rocks. Now, I remember only the flavor — not like food, sweet or sharp. More like a fine powder, like dust. And I wasn’t elated or frightened, but simply rapt, aware. That’s how it is sometimes — God comes to your window, all bright light and black wings, and you’re just too tired to open it.

a lot of people are reblogging this saying that most "lazy" people are actually just disabled or that the concept of laziness itself is a product of our society's obsession with productivity. this is all true, but it is not my point.

even if someone WAS just lazy and simply didn't want to do anything but lie on the couch and watch tv, they should still have these things. it's irrelevant whether some people aren't actually lazy because everyone, including hypothetical lazy people, should have their basic needs met.

if we have the resources to do it, there is no defense of letting people die because they don't want to work, and much less because they can't.

I don't want lazy people to have basic necessities because they "actually" deserve them because they ARE working or CAN'T work. I want lazy people to have basic necessities because they are people, and we shouldn't leave them to die when we have the resources not to.

another horrific dream. why is paris before bed giving me nightmares

in the dream i went to my gfs house and one of mt friends was there too. we were doing this weird thing where we all sat on the bed, which was repositioned to be in the middle of the room , and we sat on each side without looking at each other. her mom kept coming in and saying really mean things and it got to the point where the two of them were so angry they got up and attacked her. i got scared so i ran out of the house but it was in a field instead of a neighborhood and it was so dark i couldn’t see anything.

i stay away from the house for a bit and when i think i’ve been outside for an hour i make my way back in. i don’t see my friends, but i see her mom who’s stomach is like. horribly deformed. it was bulging out with loose dimpled skin and making terrible noises and she just laid there and in my head i came up with some kind of illness that doesn’t exist, and i knew that it was literally going to burst. i need to draw it it was pretty gnarly. so i got the fuck out of there and woke up
