2018 was a mixed bag for me. It started of grim. I had no job. I was not doing well in my career. I was confused. Thankfully, an opportunity presented itself in an advertising agency and I took it. Things were going well when I was hit by life again. I lost some dear ones this year. It was painful to see the people I love in grief and agony. It always is. Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a loved one. You mourn. You learn. And you move on. So did I. I met a lot of new people this year and befriended so many of them. Relocating to a new city and meeting people from a different sphere of life was an eye opening experience. It helped me gain perspective in life. I have had such good moments with these folks. I can only hope that time strengthens these new bonds. 2018 was also the year of love for me. For the first time in an otherwise very long time, I had the opportunity to love and be loved. I'll forever be grateful for the presence of this constant in my life. Here's to many more. 2 and half years out of college, 6 and a half since school, yet time nor distance have put a dent on my friendships. I am thankful that I have been fortunate enough to have friends who even till this date form an indispensable part of my life. Thank you for that. I did so much more this year. I started painting. Bought a guitar. Read books. Started travelling. I thank 2018 for all these moments as well. As I head to 2019, I am filled with optimism. I know life might pull me down but as they say "There is light at the end of the tunnel." I am sure a window of opportunity will present itself and I'll be there to grab it. Happy New Year to all.
