The iconic twin four-faced clocktowers on the old Grace Bros. building. Opened in 1906 as the jewel in the crown of the Grace Bros retail Department Store business. Closed, stripped out and abandoned 1992. Re-developed as a shopping mall and cinema complex in 1998, as it remains today, stuck in its own past. One of the clocks hasn't yet been moved forward an hour for summer daylight saving. The building was far too ornate and gaudy for a place like the Emerald City to knock down. Heritage listed. Ultimo.
