Side note on this: all those college conservatives saying liberal professors are shutting them down because of their conservative ideas and refusing to hear otherwise? In my experience the “shut down” is just being asked to DEFEND their position for the first time and not accepting shitty half thought out “proofs” that fall apart on their own.

I hope we’re all seeing why the far right and white supremacist evangelical christians are working overtime to destroy public education including our public universities. Because an education – learning about the world and other people from non-bigoted sources – is still the best antidote to bigotry.

I like tumblr because it’s the only social media platform that isn’t like “look how great my life is going right now!” it’s literally just shitposting. it’s the one website that doesn’t destroy your self esteem. no one has ever read a text post that just said “bungus” and been like “wow they have their whole life together and I wish that could be me” and I’m here for it
