Suzuki and Aki arrive at their training session with Norman. As Suzuki changes his clothes, Norman notices he's wearing the watch he gave him, and briefly closes his eyes. Suzuki turns toward him and starts to call his name, but then switches to "Master" as Norman had requested to be called previously.

As Suzuki and Aki do warmup stretches, Norman tells them that what they need to do is break the so-called "Curse of Fusako Yagami." The pair look confused, and Norman goes on to explain how the movements of the lead dancer are conveyed to the follow, tracing a beautiful trajectory with their bodies, and Fusako has the ability to the follow the trajectory that makes her look the most beautiful. Norman reminds them that Aki is not Fusako, and Fusako is not Suzuki's partner. They still don't know what he's talking about, and he tells them to try to figure it out for themselves.

As the two practice, Aki wonders to herself what Norman means by saying she's not like Fusako. Norman asks her to state her name and specialty, to which she answers that she's Eida Aki Tajima and a Latin American specialist. Norman states that since she's a Latin dancer, she probably wants to move her body more. She claims that they're not allowed to do that, and Norman wonders who told them that. She answers that Sugiki taught them that for standard dances they shouldn't move around as much as they do for Latin dances. Norman reminds them that he told them to forget all that, and Suzuki sees a brief flash of himself dancing with Fusako.

The door to the studio opens and Nino walks in, asking how things are going. Suzuki casually greets him, while Aki stiffens up and awkwardly introduces herself. Nino wonders why she looks so oblong, and she says it's because she's nervous (accidentally switching to Japanese). Suzuki snickers and compares her to an owl, while Norman explains to Saichi that some owls make their bodies oblong when they're shocked.

Suzuki and Aki resume practicing, while Nino asks Norman about the progress he's made with these two. Norman states that recently he's finally been able to rip out the presence of Sugiki that's been residing inside Suzuki, and now he's in the process of injecting his own influence into him.
