#10 dance

Yesterday Inoue posted a new picture on Xfolio of Sugiki doing a ballroom hold, while her teacher quoted the post saying that the release date will be confirmed soon. On Comic Days, the day is listed at August 14th! The second half of the update is likely to more heavily feature Team Sugiki and Fusako.

I was proven wrong after posting about how the pop up shop didn't offer online orders! from 23rd July (today) to 9th August, you can make reservations for the merchandise you want, so get those Spinyas while you still can (they ship overseas)! I personally don't have the space (and money) to participate in this one...

Additionally, Shinjuku Marui Complex released five drinks (each for 1250 yen) inspired by the Shinyas and specific scenes in 10 Dance!

Probably of interest only to me, but sharing anyway just because lol. Was curious to see how my fics stacked up against each other in terms of kudos, since the order has changed a couple of times over the past few months.

The VegeBul fic was my number 1 for a looong time, and it seemed like nothing else would ever get ahead of that. A lot of other things I wrote were for more niche fandoms or pairings, and even though sometimes other fandoms would get surges (like my Trigun fic gaining a lot of ground when the new series came out), nothing else even reached 200 kudos.

Until, that is, the 10 Dance movie came out. A fandom that before then had less than 20 fics total was suddenly flooded with new fans. All of my 10 Dance fics got a boost, especially the ones that were less reliant on manga plotlines and more purely about the characters having sex lol.

And then I started writing RadioStatic, which has an even more massive fandom than any of the others; Hazbin Hotel in general has nearly 75,000, and just this pairing alone has over 10,000 fics! So within a couple months, one of those fics managed to take over the spot of top kudos gainer for me. On the one hand, since the series is so popular, there are a lot of fans seeking out fics, but on the other hand, there's sooo many that it's hard to stand out, as anything new will quickly be several pages deep within a few days. So I'm grateful that people are enjoying it amongst everything else that's out there!

from 11th to 20th of July there is a new pop up shop for 10 Dance at the Marui Annex in Shinjuku! Merchandise include badges, acrylic stands, clear trading cards, postcards, and mini clear cards with iconic lines. The acrylic stand with both Shinyas even spins! Additionally, customers who spend more than 2000 yen at the store receive one of five kinds of stickers. The event page can be found here.

Unfortunately this does not seem to be open to online orders even after the end of the pop up shop. But if you're interested, keep your eyes peeled for Mercari or other second-hand websites!
