this comic is making the rounds again. time for a million people to once again fail to understand that the "✨for girls✨" part is a joke.

The editing of this video is hysterical and genius- they switch between so many editing styles to reflect exactly what kind of thing they're going for in each segment its GREAT.

I do think that there's something to be said about how "nerd culture" in general, and comics in particular, got sort of gentrified as they became big business and therefore mainstream culture. Like there was a wildness to them back when they were disposable shit for kids and weirdos that I feel has been kind of lost.

Anyway the best thing you can do is support indies. Indie comics; indie games; indie films; indie science fiction and fantasy novels, like, oh, incidentally, my own novel set in post-apocalyptic fairy-occupied Canada.

Unfortunately you will talk like a tumblr user for your entire life. Sorry.
