For everyone who ‘used to love reading’ but now hasn’t finished a book in years, you CAN get it back. Genuinely start bringing a book (preferably short and either fiction or a non fiction topic you already really enjoy) everywhere you go and when you have 5-20 mins waiting for the bus or at the doctors office or mechanic or whatever, get out your book and read it! You don’t have to finish it quickly or even read it often but it is so good for your brain and fun to get into the habit of reading more (and replacing being on your phone for those moments). i'm so intrigued by how a psyker rogue trader that's been through their own personal hell on top of the normal wh40k hell everyone goes through deals with the sudden power in their hands. to finally be in a position of relative safety, to know you're NOT in a position of relative safety, to have the torture police both as part of your retinue and an in all but name boss that threatens you if you fall out of line. to be able to do what you want but to never be able to do what you want. to not be free but be the closest you've been to freedom. juicy

this is unironically how I play skyrim too. I once made an alchemist who was very committed to studying alchemy and I wrote some notes on the side about the different alchemy ingredients and what they are used for. I also described the colour and their texture, occasionally how they taste and smell. I truly believe this is how skyrim was meant to be played

oh rambling in the tags of that last rb abt the mage warden/jowan friendship gave me a thought, I’ve been stuck on whether this surana I’m thinking about would help him escape or betray him to Irving, but what if! they’re so used to being his only friend and depend on that so much that finding out he’s in a relationship and hoping to leave with her feels like a massive betrayal to them. so they tell themself they just don’t want to get in trouble or sm but rly they’re just Hurt and lashing out (subconsciously. they don’t think abt their feelings.) deliciously maladjusted perhaps

always enamoured by the canon vibes of the mage warden & jowan friendship. the implied many personal crises of jowan's that the warden has made fun of him for and/or helped him with. him being the warden's like, only friend in the tower despite or because of them being a favorite of the first enchanter. him presumably being the one to help the warden settle into the tower given he's been there longer. "you're like a sister to me, but maybe if-" but he only says that if you ask him why you guys didn't bang In Front of his girlfriend. both of them potentially immediately getting distracted from breaking jowan out of the circle by a cool talking statue. the constant way the warden can rag on him and the resentment and jealousy on jowan's end. the way he did totally leave them out to dry during his escape and only makes a move to protect them if they betrayed him and he didn't know. and then they can flat out kill him later. literally awesomeeeee
