forgotten middle child syndrome the number 68 stuck between her funny number siblings 67 and 69. is this anything.
My bros im tempted to reread and rewatch the entirety of gachiakuta just to make analysis posts for the first time HHHHHband it doesnt help that gachiakuta rn is pretty short (168? Chapters while all the other manga i read are sakadays(261) windbreaker (219) and one piece (1184)) and the art style is gorgeous and that theres merits in both anime manga subbed and dubbed etc
i will never stop loving how dr stone gives us a stoic supergenius protagonist who's always idolizing science and logic and stuff and then instead of going the easy route and using that framework of cold logic to make him some aloof holier-than-thou figure who's above such petty things as "emotions" and "friendship" the show goes no! senku is actually a deeply compassionate person because that is in fact the logical conclusion to come to. there is no such thing as a lone genius. science is a collaborative effort, built upon the shoulders of those who came before. all of senku's vast mountains of knowledge would amount to absolutely nothing if it wasn't backed up by taiju's strength, yuzuriha and kaseki's crafting skills, chrome's ingenuity, the practical experience of people like ukyo and ryusui, the many individual skills of each and every person in the kingdom of science, the tens of thousands of years of human progress it took to build up those stores of knowledge in the first place, and the eternal faith and support of his father byakuya. every action senku takes is not simply borne out of devotion to science, but out of devotion to this specific understanding of science - the understanding that scientific progress is inextricably linked to society itself and that one cannot exist without the other. senku may be the smartest man alive (not to mention the de facto leader of humanity's remains), but he still recognizes that he is only a single man, no more or less important to humanity's survival than anyone around him.

What's the process if you're a superhero and you come out as trans
Do you tell your villains?
Do you keep it a secret so no one can connect Spider-Man with your secret identity for a while? Or do you pop a pronouns pin on your costume and the next time you web up Doctor Octopus and he goes "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME SPIDER-MAN" you go "Spider-Girl actually! I've been figuring out some shit"
"Listen for Christ's sake we're a modern paper. Parker - Parker get in here - this is Madeline Parker, came out three months ago. Best photographer we've got. We're proud to have her on board. We at the Daily Bugle are proud to support the LGBTQ+ community bUT THIS SPIDER-GIRL IS A MENACE"
Overwhelming consensus on this post is that you should come out in your superhero identity first, and then a couple weeks down the line come out in your secret identity and when people ask just go βOh seeing Spider-Girl come out really gave me the confidence to come out myselfβ which is the best possible answer

[ID: A small brown and white calf resting their head on the head of a large black longhorn cow. The bigger cow is grazing and paying no mind to the baby.]
Au idea: yk those "I transmigrated into this ____ world" ? What if Zanka was the mc in those. Except this time, he transmigrated into the gachiakuta world. So he has this system thingy telling him that he can leave once he's fully awakened Lovely. Before he became a cleaner, he was so confused on what or who Lovely was supposed to be. Then the well scene happened. And then he gets disowned and became a cleaner and everything became history.
So when the time comes that he's reached his full potential, the system warns him that he'll be leaving soon. And as much as he loves the people here, he wants to go home as well. Now, when he's been transported back, he starts thinking of the gachiakuta world as nothing but a weird dream to ignore the feeling in his chest for leaving (does it work? No, but he'll fake it till he makes it). Meanwhile the cleaners are panicking. Zanka seemed so happy earlier, having unlocked Lovelys final form and achieving his dreams. So where is he now? All his stuff remained. Even Lovely.
Plot twist, the world Zanka originated from is actually the modern au of gachiakuta. He knew all these people already, and it's so weird seeing them so different but also acting the same in this alternate world he's in. That would also be the reason why he wants to go home more than staying here. He already has people he cares about and people who cares about him as well. And as similar as these people are from them, they aren't the same. And they'll never be. That doesn't stop the hurt forming when he does leave though.
(Imagine years later, atleast for him, he returns to the gachiakuta world by some weird occurrence.)
I shed a tear of joy at this ask bc ive been thinking of transmigration lately. It could also be because i was thinking of ming fan too
YESSSS and he still goes through the well because maybe he thought if he did what his "family" expected of him then he'd be following the System and go home soon, but then Hyo beat him, he chose "the stick," crawled into the well and thought that he was never going to get home...π’
Of course when Enjin and Riyo find him and the name Lovely Assistaff pops into his head he goes "ohhhhh omg πππ"
But him leaving right after unlocking Lovely would be so FOUL. Imagine in the aftermath of the tough battle where Zanka upgraded Lovely, they're all just trying to recuperate. The infirmary is cramped with so many people wounded and visiting, but oddly enough...the atmosphere is light. Like they've finally come out the other side of the storm
Rudo is one of those injured (again π) while Enjin and Riyo watch over him. He tells them how Zanka had visited earlier, told him that he "didn't do half bad," before leaving in a hurry. His seniors laugh about it for a good while. Rudo spots movement and makes eye contact with Zanka himself, watching the busyness of the infirmary from the doorway.
Rudo can't help himself. He grins and Zanka's eyes widen. "Dude, was that a smile?" Riyo gawks while Enjin calls more people over, telling them The kid can actually smile now, can you believe it?, blocking his view. When he peeks over Gris' shoulder, Zanka is gone.
He doesn't know that it'll be the last time he ever sees Zanka. The last time anyone does.
I'm guessing when Zanka disappears there's some denial. Like you said, he left his things behind including Lovely, so there's some thoughts of foul play by the Raiders or the Hell Guard, but at this point of their journey theres really no. Reason for them to do that. They have this weird "truce" state with both groups so like??? GENUINELY WHATS THE POINT
They get Shikage to look through his cameras but it's like Zanka truly just disappeared out of nowhere. He's standing right outside the infirmary then one frame later he's just. Gone.
Zanka def tries to ignore the fact that he experienced a whole LIFE in another world with familiar faces, but it slips through when he interacts with their modern counterparts
Asking Rudo if he's done with training ("? What am I training for?!"), telling Riyo where Ripper is ("Ohh, my scissors? Wait, that's such a cool name!"), or mentioning a past mission to Enjin (" 'Amo's Tower' is pretty generous for what's just 'Amo's Treehouse paid by Uncle Corvus.' Is she using you against me?")
Zanka is genuinely grateful to be back home but πππ He also had a home with the Cleaners πππ Wdym he has to sleep alone dealing with nightmares about the Doll Festival and he can't call anyone about it so they could do a sleepover in Enjin's room πππ
BUT HIM RETURNING TO THE GACHIAKUTA WORLD πππ Can't decide if the same years passed for both worlds or Zanka comes back the same age while everyone in Gachiakuta has grown or vuce versa
It would be rly interesting to see how the ogs and their modern counterparts would interact though....
Okay we genuinely need to make this an au and give it the most stupidly long transmigration novel title ever
ok but looking back what are the chances mymo targeted specifically zanka after the attack on mildretta grazed enjin so he just didn't have time to become the first person who described an eldritch horror and called it fugly bitch
