Kion and Kamili vaguely remind me of Mark Grayson and Marky from Invincible, though I think you’re handling their story far more respectfully than Invincible did

I just watched a recap of it to understand the question (disclaimer that I have NOT watched nor read Invincible, so I could be 100% wrong with whatever im going to say) and yeah, I can see the similarities

I'm not going to do the same plotline though, because it seems that Invincible just did it for shock value reasons since Mark is the protag instead of following the reasoning of why Anissa wanted to have the Viltrumite's heir. It should have been Nolan instead (since he was the legitimate heir) and then just erased the consequences towards Anissa making her a heroine of sorts in the end (and the inheritance doesn't seem to come as a big plot point except for just "AND THIS IS WHY MARKY HATES HIS BIO DAD")
