This whole thing about "AFAB Privilege" and just everything going on on your blog right now reminds me of an older post with a painting of a uterus that said sth like "I grow I flow I am the divine creator" which, ngl, I'm not happy with the divine feminine nonsense that goes on it feels very misogynistic BUT it was just a painting and if some women want to feel better about their organs, great, right?
But no, apparently, it's a "gross" and "TERFy" painting and anyone reblogging it was "sus". It's exhausting having to go out into the physical world and have to hide that I'm female with female issues because that will lead to me not being taken seriously and then I come online and I'm supposed to never say I'm female with female issues because it's oppressing people living on the other side of the globe who have a LOT more power and privilege than my third-world ass does.
I miss the internet from 10 years ago. Things were (at least on the surface) a lot better then.
Yeah I don’t love those kinds of illustrations but that’s mostly because I’m very much not a spiritual person and they don’t do much for me. I do remember a year or two ago when a trans guy got bullied to the point of deactivating because he made a series of abstract vulva drawings (they were really cool looking I wish I had gotten a screenshot but this was a while ago). It doesn’t escape my notice that that guy was called a bigot for drawing his own body but dicks get drawn on every bus stop and public bathroom.
