If a dog pulls on the leash just stop and stand there
that’s it that’s the trick you become a seat belt it works real fast. Start walking again if they stop pulling & even better if you wait until they look at you first (sometimes u might have to call them back to stop pulling if they are a bit dumb)
wow ok since this seemed to help people here’s my trick for getting dogs calm before we leave the house (this also works for crates and cars it’s pretty common)
I crack open the door a little and when they charge it, I shut the door. I am become video game. Butt on floor opens the door. I have them sit and then slowly open the door again. Get up? Door shuts. Sit down? Door slowly opens. After they’ve been sitting and the door is all the way open and they’re looking at me, okay we go outside.
Works fast and is so gentle and it’s really letting them be in control. If they want to go outside all they gotta do to open the door is to sit. Consistency is 99% of it

Not a day will pass where I won’t wonder where it all started to become so sour, and why I became so comfortable with being uncomfortable where I was with my life.
A relationship is work, but love comes from inside. How could I have said that I loved you so much, yet have given myself so little myself. And in turn, I let you down.
The more time that passes, the more I realize that I have so much more to learn and experience than I already have, even if I feel as though the world has already hit me with everything it has.
It hasn’t.
Now it’s time to build mysef up again, and do it for the betterment of myself, and my loved ones in turn
Love Is Work. But love isn’t meant to be taken for granted. It’s meant to be cherished, until you can’t anymore, and even after sometimes.

When I was learning how to cook for myself in my tweens, I had at least a five years of fire safety seminars from school drilling this into my head, and I STILL had that instinctive put-the-fire-out-with-water reflex. Didn’t even think. I saw our oily burner catch fire after frying eggs, whipped around towards the sink for water, and my brain immediately screamed NO!!! NO WATER! I mean that fire safety stuff straight up bitchslapped me out of REFLEXIVELY setting my house on fire. I found a pot lid and inched it over the burner before turning off the heat. Even if you think you know this stuff, panic is powerful shit. Make knowledge more powerful.
