so far, the Surviving Earth documentary series is much more Dinosaur Revolution than Walking with Dinosaurs or Prehistoric Planet. It's enjoyable enough and the reconstructions of the animals are lovely (which puts it leagues above Netflix paleodocs like Life on our Planet or The Dinosaurs), but the script, narrator line delivery, and slightly too cartoonish animal behaviors do make me feel like I'm being talked down to at times.

#this is such a spoiled-by-prehistoric-planet thing to say but the camerawork does nothing for me #PHP's camerawork very intentionally evokes Planet Earth and really sucks you into the illusion of watching actual nature footage #Surviving Earth just can't get there
