okay this is amazing
They've asked to hear this story countless times before.
Thankfully, Tahu never grows tired of telling it.
Happy 810nicle day, gathered friends.
I'm sorry but it was too good to disable RBs for so I'll take this hit personally

she's like. the reason magical girls are so popular rn. queen shit
Sakura Kinomoto
canonically becomes the strongest mage in her world, surpassing the level of the world-renowned strongest mage Clow Reed
one of the most iconic magical girls; the series is often talked about alongside other popular series such as Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, and Madoka Magica
some of the things she can canonically do with the cards: fly, use a sword that cuts through even the strongest materials, create illusions and mazes, ERASE things or even people, put others to sleep, make a “mirror” of herself, and even (in the anime) stop time!! As her magic grows she can even use multiple cards at once!
saves the day by turning all of the clow cards made by Clow Reed into her own Sakura cards, aka befriending and transforming all the cards to be her own from her own magic
has her own unique magic circle
her best friend Tomoyo custom-makes her costumes for every battle, so she gets a new outfit for most magical encounters!!
literally kindest and sweetest girl ever that always tries her best
her rival for the clow cards over time falls in love with her (she’s just that kind and cutieful)
has saved the citizens of Tokyo from falling into eternal slumber (end of the manga) and from being destroyed completely (end of the second movie)
her most powerful, “invincible” spell is: “I’m sure I’ll be alright.
The unbeatable phrase "Everything will surely turn out alright"
the amount of lawsuits these exploited children are going to be filing 20 years from now is going to be crazy and im all for it
huge fan of the fantastic four's stupid fucking flying car being potentially one of the best threats printed into the vintage format in years
trivial to do this on turn 1 in shops

One of the funniest things I've seen happen in real-time is the gradual progression of cyberdeck DIY stuff going from "this is obscure nerd shit" to "unless you literally need a Windows/MacOS device for work, a tiny bespoke handmade Linux machine will probably give you less headache and be more reliable and is vastly less likely to get remotely bricked by an update or obsoleted"
The problem with this though is that Linux Users (distinct from people who use Linux) are some of the most annoying fucking people on the planet, so a lot of people who would probably benefit from a little custom Linux machine are going to be put off of the concept entirely by condescending nerds with superiority complexes
saw this on Insta and the idea that people who are anti-AI are just using it anyway like... willing to give it up? I ACTIVELY AVOID THAT SHIT BUD! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT?
ALSO
It's not as if this shit has been around SOOO LONG. We all existed JUST FINE before this shit became THE THING someone decided to shove in our face like...
Question for all the so-called "not a coke addict" people on tumblr. If cocaine disappeared tomorrow, would you be able to get through a workday? How would you get out of bed in the morning or look your wife in the eye? Hello!?!? It's like people don't even think about these things! Would you actually be willing to give it up? Because I certainly can't!
Of course, as much of the previous research has shown, federal lawmakers who initially enacted blood quantum statues and Bureau of Indian Affairs administrative officials who drafted blood quantum rules and regulations did so, in large part, because of reasons related to property. That is to say, the seemingly cut-and-dried math of blood quantum was a cynical, underhanded way to minimize the funds, benefits, and resources expended on behalf of Native nations and their citizens. The formula seemed to always end up as subtraction, magically reducing the actual number of communities and individuals eligible to receive federal financial support. As the population was fractionated and subtracted, the expenses associated with the trust obligation diminished in tandem. These bureaucratically vicious yet bloodless means sought to erase entire peoples and thereby reduce the federal budget allocated under treaties and statues to native affairs. Interestingly, and not surprisingly, federal and state officials creative applied precisely the opposite social and racial arrangement to African Americans. In that instance, blood quantum was all about addition. By devising the infamous one-drop rule that maintained a single drop of African blood made a person Black, the government sought to increase the number of persons who could legally be held in bondage, thus setting up a maniacal system to maintain slavery as an economic institution in perpetuity. After emancipation, the calculation continued to support patently discriminatory Jim Crow legislation that severely constrained the civil and human rights of African Americans even after the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments to the Constitutions had been ratified in 1865, 1868, and 1870, respectively, in the way of the US Civil War. As Vine Deloria Jr. succinctly put in 1969 in Custer Died for Your Sins, “Because the Negro laboured, he was considered a draft animal. Because the Indian occupied large areas of land, he was considered a wild animal.” In a society that valued property over virtually everything else, more draft animals were required to maintain and grow the economy, and fewer wild animals were necessary because they were considered nuisances or threats. Thus, blood quantum was a powerful economic tool created by the US government to control resources and property by simple addition or subtraction, depending on the need. It was never about kinship or humanity.
—“Moving Past the Flawed Equations of Blood and Property” by David E. Wilkins, in Beyond Blood Quantum: Refusal to Disappear
Some years back Richard Nixon warned the American people that Russia was bad because she had not kept any treaty or agreement signed with her. You can trust the Communists, the saying went, to be Communists. Indian people laugh themselves sick when they hear these statements. America has yet to keep one Indian treaty or agreement despite the fact that the United States government signed over four hundred such treaties and agreements with Indian tribes. It would take Russia another century to make and break as many treaties as the United States has already violated.
