Hello hit Robyn. Hit goat. Can you break down Trinity’s character for me.. I thought her number fan might be able to since I’m currently trying to figure that out..

Okay, so Trinity santos is a hot shot intern in season 1, overly confident in her own abilities because she has then walked through a life that put her down and minimized her so constantly that she had to be her own champion.
When she was a child, she and a friend were sexually assaulted by a much MUCH older man (people often presume him to be her childhood gymnastics coach). The friend killed herself out of grief, and so Trinity had had to live with the trauma of CSA, a friends suicide, and not being BELIEVED about any of those things since.
Okay, so here comes some other characters. There’s this guy Langdon who is like the picture perfect white man of the ED. Sassy, sarcastic, knows his shit, still has a heart of gold. Yk, the classic stuff. Unfortunately, he’s also heavily addicted to benzos because he got in an accident (I believe a car accident iirc) that gave him a back with chronic pain. He was originally prescribed benzos but he still felt pain after the prescription finished so he turned to self medication via stealing drugs from the ED/his patients and diluting vials so nobody could find him.
Trinity, ON HER FIRST DAY, figures him out. Before this, she was handling a patient with another character named Mohan. Mohan is a REALLY good doctor, but all doctors mess up sometimes and she made the wrong decision with a patient. Trinity fixed the problem but Langdon walked in and was like “wtf?” and Trinity took the blame saying SHE messed up and MOHAN fixed the patient.
Atp Langdon like REAAAAAMS into her, absolutely yelling for like a good 3 minutes until his superior (and the EDs day attending) Robby calls him on his shit.
Robby is finally learning smths up with Langdon and asks Trinity about it. After some prying she reluctantly explains the situation to him about the drugs bc she’d figured it out. Robby believes her, to her absolute surprise considering NOBODY had believed her about anything before, and Langdon gets kicks out of the ED and sent to rehab.
He comes back 10 months later, but the implication of how this affected Trinitys career is that she’s become a pariah because she called Langdon out on his shit. People don’t generally take to confident, gay women of color calling out white men on their FIRST DAY, so she was presumably iced out by the people who figured out she was responsible. Trinity, who is already very blunt and sardonic, becomes even more icy in the second season bc of this.
Additionally, on the first day of work, Trinity becomes situationships with the very prominent R3(?) (maybe R2, don’t remember) surgeon Yolanda Garcia. Funnily enough, Trinity manages to bag this absolute GODDESS BEAUTY of a woman via dropping a scalpel and having it land in Garcias foot 💀
Garcia is kinda similar to Trinity, sarcastic and blunt, but she’s also pretty close with Langdon, and doesn’t take kindly to Trinity suspecting Langdon of anything/later ratting him out on said stuff on her first day that Garcia couldn’t figure out for years.
Garcia and Trinity have this dynamic where Garcia sees the relationship as 100% casual and just fun, but Trinity wants more despite those boundaries, which is just kinda tragic and toxic for both of them. Trinity is presumably with Garcia as a coping mechanism, because if it has to be casual then she can’t be manipulated again, even if she knows she doesn’t want to be casual.
- Trinity self harms via cutting her thighs, and in one of the most recent episodes she steals a scalpel with the audience presumption that she’s gonna relapse. Trinity mentions wondering if Langdon is gonna relapse and start doing drugstore again after his detox, and her addictive cutting with his addictive drug taking are framed as mirror images (Langdon and Trinity herself have a LOT of similaires, which is part of why they beef)
- Trinity is besties with this MS4 turned doctor named Dennis Whitaker (he’s this charming little blonde white farm boy from Nebraska). On the first day, he’s like the only one who tolerates her sense of humor, and she 1) fixes his finger which he injured and 2) OFFERS HIM A FREE SPOT IN HER HOUSE WHEN SHE LEARNS HES HOMELESS. SHE DOES THIS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DESPITE HER TRAUMA WITH MEN BECAUSE SHES A GIVER.
Uhhh TLDR is I love this girl and you should watch the Pitt!!! She’s not perfectly good but she’s DEFINITELY not conniving and evil the way many in the fandom will have u believe!
