It’s said this Creature can take a part of the appearance of any living animal that it eats (or Ability such as Strengh or camouflage) which earned it the nickname “the patchwork creature” among Cryptozoologists

The Appearance of Pahoulics can change extremely. Although there’s some similarities all of these Pahoulics share, such as;

• Uneven/Weird Eyes

• Abnormal coloring

• Markings on Flesh/Fur

• More then One limb (in the case of the artist interpretation, tail)

• looks like a mix of multiple animals.

In Folklore, it’s said if this creature eats a human then something will happen to the Pahoulic.

The human parts will hide the Pahoulic’s more animalistic features, giving them the appearance of the human which they have eaten

and the more they eat human flesh, they’ll soon be a unique person, with almost no indications they were ever Pahoulic (hence, why we think they were closely related to mimics and Ghouls) but something else will happen

It’s said The Pahoulic’s blood/genes will start to NEED human flesh. It’ll need to crave it and eat it constantly because unlike with other animals, the human genes and appearance will fade, Making them go back to their more monstrous form.

If the Pahoulic is denied human flesh for too long, it’ll go ballistic and their instincts and hunger will take over, Hunting down more humans

Eating people until they are satisfied. Which In a folklore story with the Pahoulic, Is why an entire Tribe was Killed.

It’s unknown which culture this Cryptid came from.

TLDR; They take parts of animals, if eat a human they adapt to constanly need to eat human, if they don’t eat human they basically lose consciousness and they’re instincts take over and they only regain consciousness when they ate like 10 people or something.
