I love the mcr fandom, i truly love it. All that being said I think that it is a HORRIBLE place sometimes, more times than it should be. The fact y'all have pretty much BULLIED Mercening out of posting mcr fanart should make you ashamed of yourselves. This of all places should be a safe space yet so many people here are so mean. Why are you so mean. It is okay yo gove SUGGESTIONS but straight up criticizing someone's work they are doing FOR FREE is mean. It doesn't sit right that someone who in my opinion is/was one of the brightest stars of this community has had to be dimmed because of meanness.

This brings me to my second point.

I understand that mcr constantly putting out merch and not new content is exasperating but we do not know the full details of what's happening behind the scenes. They fully well could be choosing to do this for more money but they just as well could be trying to get out of their contract with warner to put out new music, be stuck in said contract, have little say in what's being put out, many many other factors that again WE DON'T KNOW, and I don't think pointing that out is blindly idolizing a band. More importantly ypu dissagreeing with someone on either perspective does NOT give you the right to berate them.

Also the re release is making music MORE ACCESSIBLE to people. The mad gear and missle kid never came out on vinyl and the cd is rare so having it released on both with the re release is a good thing!!! Also Zero Percent I believe is region locked and We don't need another song about California is itunes/apple music exclusive and to my knowledge have never been physically released as well as the other live songs!!! Is it expensive, yes, but it is still more accessible. And even not physically those exclusive songs are now on other streaming services so again, access!!!

so download the movie, the video, the game, the fanfic, the tumblr post, the news article, etc... with the unstoppable rise of corporate greed, the only thing you can trust is yourself.

and if you can afford to, you should donate to the Internet Archive to help them carry on their vital work.
