hi i just wanted to send u an ask bc iām looking for a guide to the tags people put at the end of tweets like /sarcasm or /serious to help autistic people understand tone easier. do you know where i could find it?
Thanks for asking!
I haven't seen a guide for this in a while, so I can't share any with you, but I'll real quick make one!
So!
/s: means the last thing you said was sarcastic.
For example: "I went to the park today, but it started raining which was sooo fun /s"
/j: this means that the last thing you said was a joke, but not sarcastic. It's very useful for things like exaggeration or things not meant to be taken seriously.
For example: "I started singing and I was basically Shakira /j" (this isn't the best example, if you have a better example please leave it in replies!)
No "/[letter]" or /serious: If you want people to know you're being serious, you can simply leave it without an additional "/[letter]" (like no /j or /s), or you can say /serious! If you have a good record of using "/j" and "/s", when you leave it off we'll assume you're being serious. If you want to be extra careful /serious will definetly make it clear.
For example: "I went to the park today, and it started raining. I got drenched!" Or "I went to the park today, and it started raining. I got drenched! /serious
/g or /gen: this means a statement is meant genuinely, often used for compliments.
For example: "I really like this thing you drew! /g"
